Now 7 Scripted campaigns available

I see a lot of new names around, maybe they do not visit the Missions section so often, so here is some info, especially valid with the new AI improvements

 

As well as the ''Ten Days of Autumn" official scripted campaign by Black Six there are now 6 additional user made Campaigns available - (in no particular order)

Thanks to all the Authors for their time and work, there are also lots of single missions and mission packs as well, such as Sturmoviks over Stalingrad 'campaign', which is really worth another look (FPS) since the DX11 update as well

We really should think about a better way to advertise the games 3rd party content. At the moment my Fw-190 campaign has just 286 downloads and my Ivan's War campaign 721. Given the fact that the forum has over 100.000 members, these are ridiculously low numbers.

I will be grabbing Ivan's War probably for my first user created campaign, as the Yak is my plane of choice.

Sadly, this is very obscure stuff. It's difficult for a casual user who doesn't browse M4T or these forums to find out about this content. Some action on the part of 777 could rectify this I guess but any 'in game content downloader' solution would take man-hours away from their strict project plan.

 

I guess there could be some agreement between mission makers and 777 about including quality content in the base game via a patch, but I won't say any more about that. As any arrangement is really something to be agreed between the devs and content creators themselves.

Jade Monkey has been working on a quite good FW-190 campaign THE BUTCHER  that may be available at some point in the future...so keep your fingers crossed & stay tuned!

ivan's war is amazing campaign, great work!

FW190 is in my campaign folder but didn't tried it yet, i believe very few comes to official forums so it would be good idea to have steam workshop with custom missions, campaigns and skins, ya know one place to look for!

And with future career mode and coop like in ROF=endless fun

others are now on my list.....when i was looking for ivan's war i noticed only two campaigns to download so where is most common place to look for campaigns?

i'm not familiar with il2 editor but have plenty of experience in arma editor so i hope in future i'll give it a try with il2, i would love to make campaign with yak-1b (is there any yet?)

The Chir Front campaign didnt work for the moment. The player cant get past the 1. Mission due to a bug with the triggers at Mission end.

Maybe a pinned topic on Steam in the discussion section with links to these and "Single Player" prominently mentioned near the start of the title.

 

"Single Player Missions and Campaigns" or something like that.

I must say I enjoyed Ivan's War very much, in fact, 1C/777 should consider implementing option to inject scripted missions into their dynamic career so some important battles could be scripted on specific date as community makes em.

And if they are downloaded and installed, those scripted missions could be played within career if player is at specific airfield/sqn at specific date when that mission took place.

 

I would just love occasional well crafted missions on some important battles within career mode. 

 

Something also Pat could consider as an improvement to already excellent tool. Some hashtable where sqn + date is the key and value is scripted mission instead of generated one, if key-value pair exists (user installed mission to a folder and has entered the key for it).

Working hard on the Ju52 campaign - it is a Herculean amount of work. It will be presented when the new system is in place. Should be worth the effort but a handful of months out still on the missions themselves, Then a bit of polishing.

 

The Ju52 not being a combat aircraft, extra attention needs to be paid to ambience - although I tend to do that anyway.

Hi Custard, I agree. It would be great to see User-Content added to BOS... The only problem I could for-see is if the Mission has a Bug or is Not well tested. .. Now the Devs are going to have to answer ,"Why is This  mission is Broken ?" When they didn't create it.
