:good:

Ha! It's getting so that I'm not sure when I'll have time to fly all these!

[The psychology of the "Scripted Campaign" thing is interesting. These missions of Veteran's have been around for a while, but I haven't looked at them. I was amazed and inspired by the bomber campaigns, but didn't ahve the time for the fighter or jabo stuff. But... put the same missions in a lovely little coherent package, where finishing one cues up the next... and - it becomes a "thing", as our American cousins would say! The exact same missions become, collectively a bright shiny object! Suddenly the whole thing feels so much more IL2 and so much less erm... other. It's 'just' psychology of course, but still powerful for all that.]

Swallow, I think you've hit the nail on the head. The scripted campaign system is exactly the stimulus the single player part of the game needed, just look at the number of releases we've seen over the last days. It's surprising it took the developers so long to realize this.

Is there anyway I can download this without being forced to subscribe to something like dropbox or a google account?

You don't need to.

Just click on the "No, thanks...." link (the last row)

Thank you very much! Indeed, putting loosly mission together to a campaign adds a lot of emersion and "dive into".

What do I need to complete a mission?

Land back at base?

Mission 1

The escort of the Stukas was a success and I flew my very damaged 190 directly back to the airfield, landed it , propeller hit the ground but I was alive, I got a mission failure message.

Some of the new scripted campaigns will accept a (damaged the a/c) landing but others require your a/c to land unscathed (from the landing).

Personally I think if you make it back to base and screw up landing (e.g. Mig) it should still be a mission success.

Thank you very much for the campaign .

I am merely 'recollecting' the great work that has been done by so many people here -- you among them. :salute:

Btw, did you do the skins for the Chir Front, too?

The 2.007 update may have broke something, can't get this to run, keeps saying it can't find one of the files in the lua mapemitters test folder.

I played the campaign yesterday a little to testrun the FW and AI and everything was fine. But I have to admit, that this is not representative, because I still make small alterations to the campaign.

Was it running in 2.006c for you? Did you unpack the zip into the il2-mainfolder?

Anyone else having this problem?

unfortunately Mission #4 the yak's1 AI is to uber, I can't out-fly them, out climb them, super Russian PLanes.

its better I just return home and sit on the ground.

for some reason the AI wing-men will not attack them from the other squadron.

The enemy Yaks climb and climb and climb....

ok the Yak 1 stopped climb when it reached 17,000ft.

I was able to counter them by dragging the yaks to eagle flight; I survived.

Got it working, I had to point WinRAR to my main bos directory and unpack.  Originally I extracted to the desktop and manually moved each file, which was creating the error.

Mission 1. The Tail wheel is not locked on the Fw190 and you can't lock it all. As you taxi down the runway it locks and unlocks by itself. I would assume its a bug in this scripted campaign? Most of the time when powering up I just spin out and crash. Not fun.

You know, you have to pull back the stick completely and hold it there, and then get the tailwheel in its mid position to lock the tailwheel in the FW190.

wow really??

Judging from your post only, this could have been the problem. Yogiflight only wanted to help here. :)

On the other hand: It is not unheard of, that a new update broke something. :D Unfortunately I am out of town, so I will not be able to have a look at this until late next week. Hopefully I can assess what is going wrong here and fix it. Edited by JG4_dingsda

In the Rshew campaign of Juri, it worked yesterday, hard to believe, that it doesn't work in another campaign.

EDIT: Just gave it a try in the first mission of the JG51 campaign and it worked as it should.

Was your problem at the end of the mission, because you wrote, that it was when taxiing down the runway and before the mission you don't have to taxi? Then it might be, that you were hit and the mechanic to lock the tailwheel did not work anymore. The only explanation, I can think of.
