Daimler Benz cleared 1.42ata in June 1943. (TA-Anweisung Nr 30/43, 8.6.1943)

But the RLM didn't!

Just a quick question.

If a novice preorder BOK player but he does not own or BOS, or BOM, on which card you can fly it solo during the period of early-access?

Because I imagine that the Kuban card will not come out first.

Maybe Veliki-Luki, Lapino ou Novosokolniki ?

Yes, the Kuban map will be ready only in the next year.

They will be able to fly Veliki-Luki, Lapino and Novosokolniki

La-5FN was first used near Orel in August 1943.

The Yak-9 a lot earlier than that actually. It was combat tested along with the Yak-1B over Stalingrad in late 42 early 43 and both were cleared for full scale deployment immediately after.

The La-5FN had its combat debut a little later though, in August I think.

It interests me, as a nice juicy target.

On the old Il-2's first bomber campaign I racked up some 20 or so air-to-air kills - three 109s, one Stuka, one Storch and the rest were all Hs-129s. They don't fire back, they turn like a brick, they are extremely slow and very big. In BoK they will be great for learning how to shoot the M4.

Yay ! I'm in!   Does the boxed version come with a bottle of schnapps and vodka ?

Just pre-ordered the Battle of Kuban - Premium Edition as well as the two collector planes on pre-order... To the development team, you have my unwavering support! I agree 1000000% with your development plans for the series and I hope that soon ROF will also be raised to the same standards. IL2 and ROF are a dream come true for me and I want to keep the dream alive for as long as possible.

That's ok. I had an unusual fascination with the Hs129 when it arrived as a flyable in IL-2 1946 and it'll be great to take to the air in one again. Its poor overall performance doesn't diminish its really cool design, ultra-cramped cockpit and fun ground pounding potential.

I'll fly any mud mover!

Fits just like a glove :D

Actually it might be a glove...

I love how they straight out put the gunsight on the outside of the aircraft.

Little wonder as well that the entire framing of the windscreen was padded.

You have to wonder what that Schlachtflieger was thinking right then...did he live, die? He looks lost in thought.

Looking at Luke's picture, how in the hell you can bail out from a HS-129?

I was thinking about the same thing. Must be really hard  :o:

I guess if you were at low altitude you would belly in and *hope* the bathtub would protect you. The upper seat back does fold backwards, I wonder if there was a quick release in the cockpit for that. All things considered, a 190F is a safer bet...

This is the ticket for a flight on the HS 129...

I'd surely like a few more classic planes and 109, 110,111 and 190 tweaks are nice but, I need Htc Vive support to give up $70 USA.

Most of my coin has gone into hardware upgrades.

Newly retired guys must now be cost conscious.

But I've 3 friends that have become new Il2 flyers so I'm still spreading the word.

They're working on it. I'm pretty sure preliminary Vive support is already in-game. Edited by II./ZG1_milopugdog

Sorry if this has already been answered somewhere but my cursory look didn't find any info except when early access starts. Is there an official statement as to when the pre-order will end? Trying to arrange my financial priorities to ensure I get in on it before it expires. Thanks.

Looking for same info.

I guess there is no date. Probably it will be in pre-order until it gets released, but the earlier you can support the team the better.

Pre-order runs to December.

Thanks, guys, that's what I'm hoping/assuming as there are a lot of financial obligations right now otherwise I would have already done so.

I don't see that argument. The finances are in place for BoK, from what I see, please correct me if I'm wrong, that purchasing after the pre order would help the devs more as there would be no discount therefore more money for the devs. Am I missing something?

Money up front is usually a good thing in business, to a point.

You are missing something.

Pre-Orders help fund the team NOW, while development is actually happening, as well as solidifies their standing with 1C as far as support for the current plan goes.

While ordering later may mean a few more dollars in the account down the road, (and is good, don't get me wrong) jumping on-board now supports further development to a greater extent.

Early success leads to confidence in the road-map, including from an investor standpoint.

If they didn't care, or if jumping on-board later was just as well, you wouldn't see a pre-order discount.

Fund them now while they're building it.

I did so - and will do so again later.... which is why I won't feel bad later when I politely complain that Okinawa shouldn't come directly after Midway.

No they are not. We pay for development as we go now. We never have enough money to build fully what you want. Only BOS had guaranteed funds up front. Same issue we faced with ROF. We need your sales NOW, not later.

And this is why I pre-ordered Kuban, Ju52 and Yak-1B as funds allowed. Still a pretty good price on right now.

Still looking forward to all the duck-themed skins for the Herschel.   :P

Indeed! I will buy every single thing I can afford in this sim, as long as the team has the will to keep developing the tech. And so far they are not letting us down:)

This expansion sure does look nice, especially the planes that you also can use in the Pacific. Sometimes it sucks being a poor student, would really like to fly the Spitfire and Bf-110. :P
