As much as I would like to have some Allied bombers like the B25 and B26, I don't think it'll be for the next few years, if ever.

Getting the C47 would already be an achievement and a bit more likely.

If you read between the lines, you might conclude that Jason is at least actively looking into whether he can make the C-47 a collector plane. He literally says there's more than 50% chance it will eventually become one.

 

His answer to the B-25 is a bit more cryptic. "Have no one to build it." - does that mean he doesn't have anyone right now (because they're working on other planes - remember there's still a huge list of aircraft to build for BON), or does he mean in general because creating such a large cockpit and all the gunner positions is too much work to make it a good investment with the current 3d modelers?

 

My money is still on those two aircraft

Yep, in the long run both make absolutely sense. I guess (my interpretation) what he says comes down to basically having no human ressources at hand (due to other priorities) to do that in the nearer future.

Well, MiG-1, early Yak-1 and early LaGG-3 are all missing in the Moscow planeset and additionally the I-153 isn´t present. So on VVS side there is really more than one hole to plug.

Also Kuban... they were renowned for their close air-support in the mountains in '43.

 

The IAR-81 was also on the Kuban map (as well as at Stalingrad)... and it is a good opponent for the I-16 in multiplayer.

Considering Jason's 24 hr flash sale Q&A not too long ago my guess is no DD this week. Anyone who hasn't read in that thread should, there's some good questions in there.

He did say in that thread that the next patch  is likely to drop in "No, seriously, two weeks" so maybe we seen an update on the week of the 19th? Depends on how one measures 2 weeks.//

Update 4.6 Coming in April

We plan to release version 4.6 later this month assuming testing goes well. In this update, you will find an astonishing load of new content - Spitfire Mk. XIV for Battle of Normandy, Nieuport N.28 for Flying Circus: Vol. II and GAZ-MM 72-K AAA Collector Vehicle. In addition to these great war-winning machines, we’ll have many tweaks, improvements and fixes as usual - the most important ones are Tactical Codes and our new Dynamic Visual Damage already working on tanks, GAZ-MM AAA, P-51D-15 and Nieuport 28 (the rest of our 60+ aircraft will be gradually updated this year - it's a lot of work). Also included will be re-mastered 4K skins by our partner Martin “ICDP” Catney for three previously released aircraft - the Ju 88 A-4 (Battle of Moscow), MC.202 and Spitfire Mk.Vb Collector Planes. The so-called “109 concrete tail” phenomenon will be fixed - we have remodeled Bf 109 tails and now they behave like all other aircraft tail sections in the sim. Finally, for fans of Bodenplatte, we will be including improved railyards for 15 previously built towns and cities on the map. These will make juicy targets!

Work on Battle of Normandy, Flying Circus Vol. II and the Sd.Kfz. 10/5 Flak 38 Collector Vehicle will continue full-blast throughout the entirety of 2021. The maps for both BON and FCII are also being worked on as we speak. 2021 will be chalk full of great new content and features like an improved Advanced Quick Mission Builder. More details to follow soon about that.
