Side note:  Was the Bangalore torpedo named humorously as a sort of pun?  As in it delivered bangs galore?  I never thought of it that way before.

I have another one I came across recently. You know I´m not natively english speaking and I found that one quite funny. It is more for the ornithologists amoungst us and might be of interest for @RedKestrel, though I think he knows already. It's not the extra fuel i need, its the look and the awesomeness of approaching enemy territory and dropping tanks with your wingmen.

More detailed fuel mgmt would also be something i would personally enjoy. Right now i barely look at the fuel tank indicator.
