Years back I learned the difference between English and French interpretations of the same expressions.

 

I called the guy I work with, left a message and in it I called him a "dirty dog" in French. In English, "you dirty dog" is completely lightweight, kind of a compliment inferring good luck of some sort. In French, "chien sale", well... it's not the same. When I called his house the next time his wife answered and tore a strip off me for real. She was not happy.

Well some of the ones we have left which was also used in old norse are genitals, sometimes combined with animals, and excrement. And those are still widely used. After christianity arrived we started bringing the devil into it as well. So calling someone the devils genitals, or the horses for that matter is somewhat common in cursing. We also have one which is "pokker ta" which is now considered very mild. However in the past it was more severe. It means "I hope you die from the pox"!

How so? If we go in with realistic expectations it shouldn't disappoint.

It may not be able to maneuver very well down low but it's still one of the fastest aircraft up high and it is very good in BnZ probably one of the best.

 

It has a great dive and a good roll rate. In British comparisons between Spitfire XIV, Mustang III (P-51B/C I think), Tempest V, Thunderbolt and Meteor III, the P-47 was said to outroll everything above 300 mph, only the tempest could do better.

 

Just make sure to temper you expectations so you won't be disappointed. The P-47 is slow down low, it can't turn well when slow or low, and it can't climb very fast (zoom is another story however).

 

Stick to what the P-47 is good at and you'll be fine, just don't expect to outrun anything (mostly) or outroll a 190.

Not really. Its a great BnZer and a very durable plane with very stable gun platform. It can go really fast in dive without any problems to structure or wings. Also there are servers where high alt fighting occurs quite often.
