What was pre-release for Kuban and what was saved up for the final release? iirc we got Spit V, G4, HS129, the map, & A-5(?) before release?

 

My question being, what chunk of BoBP's rides will they hold off on till final release? I'm guessing we won't see Tempest, 262, B-25, P-38 or P-51 before actual release day....

 

Not that i'm feeling out-hyped and grouchy....

Kuban was a different kind of animal, it came with the new view distance, winter shaders, Career..etc. Lots of content.

For other expansions they usually made the planes, then added the map and then the Campaigns. I guess we are going to see Me 262 and Tempest after the map. Career could come when all is finished.

That's a stretch, but if the server went down at this moment I'd feel pretty confident saying, that it was an incoming update.

They pretty much never do. The closest thing was one update during BoK development (I forget the exact number, but it was the one that brought the Spit Mk. Vb) where they told us, that the update would launch right after an ongoing sale had ended.

Yeah, but the Soviets were clueless about the Fw 190, too.

The P-47 could carry more bombload than their IL-2 and bring six rockets and 8x0.5in to the game - and do it faster and farther.

Soviet P-47's... forget about it chaps.

Usual story, the Soviets didn't like them on the whole... they were considered to heavy, and didn't perform well at the lower altitudes that the Russians liked to operate at.

It's doubtful that any of them saw combat service.

The Red Army Air Force gets 196 Thunderbolts P-47D-22-RE P-47D-27-RE. The Russian pilots did not like it. They said that under 6.000 meters Thunderbolt was more like a flying heavy target rather than a fighter. It was probably intended to be a high altitude escort fighter but Russians did not have many heavy bombers to escort. So most Thunderbolts did not reach the front and served in the air defense units in Roumania, Hungary and 50 of them in the North fleet. In such way P-47 was not used in combat by Soviets
