I have downloaded JG51 missions and they are really great.

 

Following the threads and some screenshots, there seems to be also single missions where you can fly bf 109.  I have been looking / following links, but I can only find hotfix downloads and not the missions themselves.

 

Is there a mission pack for BF 109?

Dev  2.004 Patch notes give notification and instructions instructions on how to sort this issue 

 

Although this has happened in the past, and Veteranan has very kindly updated the downloads am sure in time this may happen again

Reading the notes about new update, this line is about this missions?:

 

2. In this new version (2.004) missions format was changed, so binary missions which were created in previous versions will not work properly. To restore your mission delete .msnbin file and keep only .Mission file, open in in Mission Editor and re-save it with new .msnbin binary mission.

Don't we need to have the .mission files in order to apply the fix the devs talked about in the release/patch notes?  I don't see any .mission files in the D/L package for these missions, so I can't figure out how to fix the issue by opening and re-saving the .mission files.  What am I missing here?  Do we need to wait and hope that Veteran66 releases updated versions of his mission packages?

For reduce files size for upload, some Misison Makers  dont include ".mission" files in their Campaigns, only the ".msnbin", so you are unable do to the suggested in 2.004 notes, need await the author provide a fix.

Yes, I am also waiting for the update.  I have been flying Pitomnik missions only so far. 

 

Would much appreciate it if you can upload the updated fix.

I manage to re-save two Veteranen66 missions  (one for Chir Front and one from KG27) - using a "confuse" process.

 

When I migrate BoS for STEAM I forget delete the old install, so have a old version of Mission Editor.

 

Open old missions (.msnbin) in then, save as ".mission".

 

Then try open this mission in new ME, but result error, so use the function "Convert .mission in the folder in .msnbin".

 

Try in game and get error, so open again the .msnbin in (new) ME and and save as .mission.

 

Now work in game - at least mission start normal.  I don't play all to see if are any error.

 

The first mission, the one that have a animation on start don't work, the animation ask for install MSN Framework 3.5 (4.0 is already installed), what Win10/64 try and but not able do install.

 

I test too copying the old ME for inside actual game installation (first rename the folder Editor for _Editor), and this old version work OK there.

 

Maybe this is the trick, use the old ME for save the .msnbin in .mission first and after work with the files in the new ME.

Thanks for the effort but 4ahared link is just aweful.

I tried again and maybe my zip app isnt workibg properly. The files do not open all compressed files. Strange.

You put VeteranenMissions.7z.001 and VeteranenMissions.7z.002 in one folder.

When you extract VeteranenMissions.7z.001 VeteranenMissions.7z.002 will be extracted also.

 

I used 7zip and it works with this programm. Sorry for the incoveniences.

Also I have uploaded to my Dropbox the .rar archive with the Missions. Just unzip and copy the folders into the Veteranen Missions folder of the game in case that you have the old version. If not, create a Veteranen missions folder in the Missions folder of the game, and then copy the new folders unzipped.

Tryed my and Sokol's download, both version unpack without errors.

Only unpack VeteranenMissions.7z.001. VeteranenMissions.7z.002 will be unpacked automatically.

I unzipped only the .rar folder and works great. The other .msi I think that is for other types of unzippers, or iam wrong?

Why one is .rar and the other .msi?

Actually I do not have this extensions on my end neither do I see them in your dropbox. Perhaps you chose to download the file as such by accident? Sounds weird to me.

 

".msi" is a microsoft installer file.

Also on any mission loaded the game freezes with following window (which I can only see when I Tab out):

(note: there is no "mapemitters" folder inside "Worldobjects")

Is this your first install of the veteran missions?

 

I only took the files from the mission folder containing the updated msbin and mis files. Apparently there are other files from the original installationfiles  which are missing here.

 

I will check which files are missing and will upload them also. Or try installing the pre patch version first and then paste my files over the files in the mission folder.

 

You cannot open VeteranenMissions.7z.002 on its own, but will be extracted when you open VeteranenMissions.7z.001.

I have the old version of VM.

Downloaded both archives, and unpack the .rar. Then get all the archives and folders, selected all and pasted in the VM folder that I have. Then run IL2 and play the missions perfect.

If you not have the VM instaled yet, I think that you need to create a Veteranen Mission folder on Missions folder (missions folder is in the IL2 game) IL2 / data / missions

 

Hope that this work
