Team Fusion FG28Artist Posted January 28 Team Fusion Posted January 28 Greetings Pilots, been a long while, but here's Update 5.042: *** Added support for simultaneous use of multiple Force Feedback (FFB) devices. [batmacumba] *** Improved the animation of the control surfaces and the rotation of the RPM and Prop Pitch instrument needles. [batmacumba] *** Fixed plane loadout system, configuration and user interface. [Artist] It now does work as intended, is fully functional and Plane Options in single missions are now available again. Read the detailed description here (for reading no login needed). Or download the pdf-Version *** Fixed a memory corruption bug when loading a texture in a second thread. [batmacumba] 12 4 3
BOO Posted January 28 Posted January 28 Thanks @FG28Artist. Thanks @batmacumba Very much appreciated. 2
FTC_Rostic Posted January 28 Posted January 28 About that: Quote *** Fixed plane loadout system, configuration and user interface. I found a little issue in aircraft options screen. So, now when I select bombs in the list of weapons in the "Weapons set" TAB , correct bomb fuses are displayed for that bomb type only. Previously just all types were there. This is fine. I like it, no more confusion what fuse type I have to setup. But, when I select "Weapons preset" with different type of bombs (like switching from 250kg to 32kg), in "Bomb fuses" TAB still will be displayed fuses for previous bombs type. Good news, is that when I select another type of bomb in the weapons list and then switch back (also in in the weapons list) to the bomb type that was in the preset, it solves the problem and correct fuses displayed again. So, for players I suggest to not use custom presets until that fixed. Spoiler 3 3

BOO Posted January 28 Posted January 28 @FG28Artist @batmacumba - I think ive got this correct - any existing FFB files have not been overwritten? I cant check with gear at present but it seems to be the case. The punch file is especially strong on modern FFB sticks. Almost dangerously so, if not to my wrist, certainly to my Rhino! This makes touching down.....quite surprising if not toned down.

Team Fusion FG28Artist Posted January 29 Author Team Fusion Posted January 29 There's a README in the parts/core/ff folder explaining which files are new and which are obsolete. There's also a tool with which you can modify the effects: Team Fusion Simulations - Resources, Tools: ForceFeedback Editor 1
BOO Posted January 29 Posted January 29 Thanks @FG28Artist - sorry for dragging this out - several files are now loaded twice so presuambly if Ive altered say, autocannon in the past and wish to keep my edit, I need to copy and rename that file autocannon_0 and make a further copy renaming it autocannon_1 in addition? I take you point about the editor however, the punch file is something that I do feel could actually hurt someone as its very strong and comes into play at a point (landing) where there is potential for a player to be awkwardly handling the stick. Its also an unexpected effect in the manner its emplyed in Clod. Perhaps not a big issue with a sidewinder but with a Rhino or (shudders) a Beast I would strongly encourage you to consider a reduction in amplitude as default. There are others on here with newer FFB who my feel differently and it could just be a "me" thing but perhaps wise to seek some user experience at some point?
Dagwoodyt Posted January 29 Posted January 29 (edited) Landed a Spitfire VA at Shoreham on these settings without any noteworthy kickback at touchdown: Edited January 29 by Dagwoodyt 1
BOO Posted January 29 Posted January 29 Could well be a "me" thing then. I've double check but tried the orginal file again this afternoon and got a helluva kick on default configuaration. @Dagwoodyt are internia and damper enabled in the effects tab?
Dawson Posted January 29 Posted January 29 @FG28Artist Link to download fedit on TFS Resources page returns file not found for me. The note on the page was informative though as I've been using the buggy version. I did find the good version on my PC too. (Never delete anything. You may need it.)

Bf109Ace Posted March 18 Posted March 18 Hi An observation for FG28Artist's post of 28 January "That may have been a / the cause for many, many crashes the players experienced. We hope that batmacumba's fix improved the stability of the game. Time will tell." I live in FMB and have previously only experienced graphics 'freezes' every now and then. Over the last few weeks [6?] since 5.042 and now 5.044, I experience 'black screen' crashes. Could usually be fixed by rebooting. The last one disabled the monitor. Quite often, when wanting to play a mission and clicking on 'Fly" the game would crash to Desktop. Got my Tech guy in and he suggested I submit the following Error reports to you. Reinstall the .NET and C++ redistributables (they're in the **\Steam\steamapps\common\IL-2 Sturmovik Cliffs of Dover Blitz\_CommonRedist folder) or download the latest versions from Microsoft. In a command line, run sfc /scannow and see it will check if any Windows system files are broken and fix them. This is more of an outside chance but it doesn't hurt to run. You might also try verifying the game files in Steam (right-click on game, Properties, installed files, Verify). Good luck!
