Discussion of Team Fusion Release post

Sadly it would appear that expressing an opinion that runs counter to the viewers own can be interpreted as an "insult". Such is modern life. I suspect the brave men of 1940, strapping planes onto themselves probably would laugh at it all.

Buzzsaw  explained why the new DLC wasn't released, that they lost some people from the team and other things I won't list (read old posts and not just here under this topic) and it wasn't enough for those in question anyway and if someone says that TFS has shown a few things in the whole time, isn't that an insult and mockery? I won't keep writing it over and over, they're working on more things I don't know why they would have to publish it... and the release of new DLC doesn't matter only on new models. The game is not just about modeling. And I said only some people...

Thanks moderators. If anyone is interested, there is a more in-depth post coming in a day or so. It answers many questions that you have and has some visuals.

Lets hope it is a couple of days and not some undetermined timeframe like the october poll and this last, largely no sh sherlock, announcement was.

Lets also hope TFS gives you the where with all to do the job they appointed you to do. Something that anyone familar with your channel knows you can do extremely well.

Well, it's that funny bit between Christmas and New year so it's pretty much the daytime standard. Now, where's that lord of the rings DVD...

Oh dear. I wonder if this has gone as well as the OP hoped?

It has gone like every developer release delay post on every forum for every game known to mankind and will continue to do so ad nauseam!

This is just ridiculous, no, this is just beyond ridiculous!

They have a marketing manager. He is able to control what the team shares.

Have you ever taken a screenshot? Ever?

Oh look, I am a 3D modeller. I have my 4 windows open for my model.

Windows snipping tool. Create snip. Draw around window. Save snip. Done.

20 seconds, maximum!

One person, on one model, saves 5 screenshots per week. 1m 40 seconds. That's not even the time to put a kettle on and boil it.

These aren't people with their nose to the grindstone!

Please don't embarrass yourself and the rest of us with a fabricated argument to try and explain why they can't be bothered to share any WiP.

I am sure there are multiple people who would willingly share their progress, but the fact is Buzzsaw just blanket stops any engagement by them with the community unless he says so, and ultimately a proportion of this community do their best to justify his behaviour.

The basic problem that the developers cannot or will not address is that the existing game is not being improved incrementally. The "can" is invariably kicked down the road to the next game iteration. Given that TF 5.0 remains unfinished and that TF 6.0 might be three or more years down the road, this lack of ability to improve existing game content incrementally will likely hasten the series' death spiral.

@FTC_Cule I am not going to quote your post above, but thank you for finally being a voice to expose the constant excuses which are put out time and time again, in an effort to deflect attention from what everyone knows is the main problem 🤟

Im surprised you graced that nonsense with a response TBH.

Anyhow, if there are any bins kicked over, bus stops damaged or car wing mirrors knocked backwards in Bromsgrove tonight ..........I may have a suspect 🙂

Tora, Tora, Tora mate.  A good war film is as Christmas as Christmas can get. 🙂

I suspect, empirically, that if we move backwards in time in most societies we'll find that honour matters more (and thus insults are more easily given and taken). Read up on the Ems dispatch for instance. That said, probably all more relevant to the early 19th century in England compared to the early 20th... but still, we really shouldn't be bringing the dead into our present day politics without first confirming what they actually believed.

It might also be worth remembering that the pilots of 1940 came from multiple social classes, countries, rural or urban environments, and from multiple political backgrounds - claiming that they all would have the same reaction is, frankly, implausible.

comparable to the update from the original IL-2 1946 to CLIFFS.

that's a very bold statement, hope this will be correct.

Clod was a huge improvement over 1946 regaridng visual and graphics.

An other example is Falcon BMS. There all dev works for free, there also going things slowl

yes but while the process has been slow, look how many updates and how the game progressed in the last 10 years.

In my soon to be released "history of silly posts on this forum" (copies from all reputable bookshops), I feel this post should take the top spot. If you truly believe that young men facing death multiple times a day, for weeks on end, would have done anything but laugh at the concept of grown men bickering about whether stating facts and opinions were insults or not, then I'm afraid I can't help you any further. I am pretty sure they had more serious things on their plate.

When put that way, I'm much more inclined to agree with you: We are a bit ridiculous, and our problems are a bit on the trivial side (at least the problems associated with flight simming)... and that is a bit of an understatement!

Hey, @Dagwoodyt, it's hard for me to engage with the rest of this thread, but I wanted to reply to your comment to say that we are most certainly committed to improving the game incrementally. I understand the problem you're pointing out about kicking the "can", and I assure you that's not how we work.

I'm not sure if you're on the beta or not, but most of the efforts from the programming team are concentrated there at the moment, and changes to the stable version of the game will probably be minor until the beta becomes the release version.

That being said, I noticed there are some long standing problems and demands from the community. I have been doing my best to address those since the situation with the VR crashes improved significantly. All the discussions I've had with the players on this forum have resulted in new tasks which are currently being worked on 🫡
