GenMarkof007 Posted November 26, 2024 Author Posted November 26, 2024 --- Short storyline for next weekend's AAS PvP Event --- July 1944—The German 21st Panzer Division launches an assault on the village of Isigny, Normandy. The Germans seek to capture the village to strengthen their defensive positions and control vital regional supply routes. The Allies, primarily the 4th Canadian Armoured Division and 51st British Armoured Division, are tasked with defending the village and preventing a German breakthrough. On July 7th, 1944 the battle began with a powerful artillery bombardment by the Germans (Nebelwerfer rocket launchers and 88mm guns bombard the village), followed by a rapid armoured advance. The 20th Panzer Division, equipped with Panzer III, IV, and early Tiger I tanks (limited), attempts to break through Allied defences on the outskirts of Isigny. The Canadians and British, using lease T34, Sherman M4A2, Churchill tanks and anti-tank guns, mount a fierce defence from fortified positions. The German 21st Panzer Division (Generalmajor Hans von Eisenberg), advance slows as they enter Isigny, where street-by-street fighting ensues. The tight, urban environment made maneuvering difficult for the German tanks, and the Allied forces used the terrain to their advantage, launching ambushes with anti-tank weapons and infantry. Good Luck! ---- Mission conditions: 1300 hours - July 7th, 1944. Lightly Cloudy with light winds from the Southwest. Temperature: 20 C. Mission duration: 3 hours + 10 min waiting minutes at the start. No Intel available. You can start the battle only when inside the RED CIRCLE on the in-game map! If you are not sure, you can ZOOM your in-game map to see your cursor. Please wait for the start signal and message. Please no ramming or spawn camping. ---- Objectives: Victory conditions: Germany must take the village of Isigny to strengthen their position around the town. The Allies must clear out the German troops and tanks to open up safe access to the Southeast of Isigny. If time runs out, the side defending will win. Event Story: Thanks to GenMarkof for creating this new Normandy mission. Special Thanks also to Super-truite, SCG_TeRReF and anonymous creators for helping with the logic and giving some helpful tips with mission creation. The characters and events depicted in this mission are fictitious. Any similarity to actual persons, living or dead, is purely coincidental. No animals were harmed in the making of this Tank Crew mission. ---- Cheers, GenMarkof 1

GenMarkof007 Posted December 7, 2024 Author Posted December 7, 2024 S! @Lofte Thanks for the reference and the YT link... But for this event, we have added the T34 to the Allied side so that we could have a few types of tanks against the PzIII, PzIV and a limited number of the Tiger 1. Since Tank Crew is not offering many types of Allied tanks... we sometimes need to shuffle a few of them from one part of the world to another! Cheers, GenMarkof
