Sim Still Crashing--Any Thoughts?

I have the following:

I-7 13700K, RTX 4080, 32GB RAM, HP Reverb G2.

FPSVR shows that my rig is running cool and is not approaching limits.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled, and verified files, for IL-2, SteamVR, WMR, FPSVR.

I have flown with and without Necksafer.

 

Yet, I still get crashes, both in flying career, campaign, and in AQMB; sometimes during a flight, sometimes between flights.  I was getting a save error message earlier, and I advanced my career by a day, which seemed to resolve it, but then random crashes began again.  The crashes began around March of this year.  Really a buzzkill.

 

Any ideas would be very welcome.  Thanks!

Do you get any messages when the crash happens? I had the old D3DX-whatever error messages and I was able to fix them with a fresh install of my Nvidia drivers.

@Mtnbiker1998 I was getting the occasional save error message (Error statSubmitStatFailed), but usually it is just a freeze followed by a crash, and then I go back to Steam and it is back to the "Play" button.  I haven't done a fresh install of my Nvidia drivers, so that is where I will go next.  Thank you for the suggestion.

Update:  Performed a fresh install of Nvidia drivers, but experienced a crash on the next mission; happened when I clicked the "Next Day" button.  Sigh.

At least I was able to complete a mission.  But I really appreciate the suggestion--thank you.

It seems this is happening to more and more people more and more often.

@LukeFF  Attached is the mission file from the latest crash.  I flew one mission without incident, but below is the second mission that crashed half-way through.

 

In addition to what I wrote above, I also swapped out the HP Reverb G2 cable for a new one, and still no joy.  I cannot think of anything else to try.  Any help is greatly appreciated.

You've probably already checked this, but incase you haven't...make sure that you have nothing running that could interfere with your running of the game.  Like...pending windows updates, streaming music,  etc...
