I made that mistake once too :) The roads on several maps were floating above ground - then someone pointed out that I might have installed a mod and forgotten about it... a few minutes later and the problem was solved.

Hi! That's probably the reason, but I am not certain. I'll ask and see, though.

  • A couple of bugs in Normandy and Rhineland Career missions that could result in the player flight not traveling to the next waypoint have been found and fixed;
  • Issues in the transport aircraft missions that could prevent them from meeting their escorts have been found and fixed;
  • AI pilots will more efficiently wait for their lagging-behind wingmen and pursue enemy aircraft while being far from the rest of the flight.

Cheers for these, as had just started a career over Normandy. and was about to lick one off for Bodenplatte when this d/l came up instead of PLAY.

I just tested it on the SE5 and it has A LOT more recoil feedback from the Lewis gun (which "feels" correct to me, even if over the wing considering a wooden frame).  Based on that, I definitely think we need more recoil feedback in the Nieuport settings.  Mentioning @Andre here to just in case it is something he had to tweak in SimShaker.  Thank you both for seeing if we can get Lewis rocking my Bebe!

Guys, regarding the overcooling message with the Nieuport 11: the word from the developers is that this is fine, rotary engines are prone to over-cool in general and that's the way it's simulated. The best thing to do when you see that message is to adjust the mixture when you see such a message. 

 

That said, they still plan to look at it and see if anything could/should be changed.

I tried some of my old ROF skins on the new noop11 kite.  Despite the low resolution, with a little tweaking, they work just fine.??

When was it changed that my plane disappears after 10-15 seconds and the mission ends after a successful crash landing in QMB? I really haven't tried a mission or campaign mission to see if it holds true there also. I didn't fly the last update much so maybe this isn't new BUT, I do find it annoying. I've come to grips with enemy and friendlies disappearing in the blink of an eye but now it's my plane too? Is it really necessary?

Yeah - I've tried bringing over some of my old RoF skins into FC, and it works pretty well in most cases with a little tweaking.  Ultimately though, I decided to just redo them using the new FC templates in case there were some unintended consequences from unforeseen differences between the templates and/or 3D models.  See this thread for some more details/discussion about doing this with RoF skins for FC:

Today I had some CTD‘s while play quick missions… anyone else have this problem? I never had it before ☹️

I had one the other day while testing an online mission I made.  Was dogfighting with an AI Halberstadt D.II in a Noop, and... next thing I know, I'm on the desktop.

 

Have not had that happen in a long time.

For CTDs there's a thread, and its best to get as much info from both any pop-ups or error codes and what you were doing at the time. As much detail as possible. As games have become increasingly complex its not always easy to track down causes of crashes.

No pop up, no error codes, just instantly dumped on the desktop.

Odd, not sure I've ever had one of those. Maybe an entry in the Windows system or application logs?

Just two German planes in this volume, why? The Roland CII could have been included for a bit of balance. Nieuport 17 French and British versions, two separate planes. Really just variations of the same plane, some differences.

Hi all, I noticed after this update I now get some slight hanging in pilot career mode. Appears to be when the map is updated after the "enemy has been spotted in a new location" for intercepts. Never used to happen prior to this update. Currently in the Normandy career as german pilot
