Well. Whiskey. Tango. Foxtrot.

Is this verified? I have a Quest 2 at work, and I find it does not play well with my head shape (the “deluxe” head strap is even worse), so I didn’t seriously look at the new offerings, but it’s quite the chain yanking if true.

And everybody who was stupid enough to follow their lead.  Why can't the majority of the industry actually listen to what the consumer has to say, and make what we want?  They choose to follow a delusional idiot over a cliff instead.

The good thing is:

Meta Quest Support replied:

"The Quest 3 will have the pancake optics like the Quest Pro, however there will be a noticeable difference as the Q3 will come with our highest resolution to date, and will have the new Snapdragon chipset, which will be able to deliver twice the graphical performance as its predecessor. This makes for smoother performance and more defined details

That report was, as I suspected, a bit too hasty and has already been rectified.

Anyway, @[CPT]Crunch have you considered the possibility that VR flight sims are not their target at all?

And @chiliwili69, that part sounds like bulls****. I'm quoting another comment from another forum:

"Article states that the resolution is greater on Q3, making readers think that they will get a better picture. Nothing can be further from the truth. Meta Quest 3 utilises a single LCD, splitting its resolution to 2064 by 2208 per eye. It has [stated] identical field of view to QP. This gives a lower pixel density of 19.8 PPD on the Q3 compared to Pro's 22.6.Article states that the resolution is greater on Q3, making readers think that they will get a better picture.
