Hi all!

I am glad to announce that I resume production of electronics (for now), controllers, diode arrays, MagRez contactless magnetic sensors, wires.

More information on my website of the same name :)

Very interesting, mate! I am plan to realise trim wheels. Do you think is possible to use your device to build a rotary trim wheels? I use a Leobodnar BU0836X card and RS Mapper as software.

Ciao!

It can be done.

I've made a 3d printed "trim box" using Leobodnar USB Controller. Pitch uses a Bourns pot and the Roll & Yaw are encoders (all supplied by Leobodnar).

I have not needed any additional controllers.

Issues:

Using an Encoder for Yaw provides really accurate adjustment in flight, however if big trim deflection is needed for, say, takeoff, (eg Spitfire) the slow operation is a pain. To overcome this I use a hat on the joystick for big deflections.

Using Pot for Pitch. Some A/C, eg FW190, cannot utilise an axis & will not work. Alternative buttons have to be allocated for these. (For info: my cunning plan was to use the 2 encoders button press function but I guess these don't work as a "press & hold" so this doesn't work)

I use GVL levers + buttons for cooling.

Cheers, B

Hello. Unfortunately, at the moment I do not have the opportunity to make mechanics...

Many thanks for your replies, guys! ?

@ciderworm: thanks for tips, mate. When I am ready to build the trim devices I will ask you for support. ?

@GVL224: don't worry, mechanics is not a problem ?

Ciao!
