DD 341 has been released.

 

Dear Friends,

Our team has some important news.

UPDATE 5.101 COMING NEXT WEEK
Update 5.101 is in the final stages of preparation - this Friday we are preparing its Release Candidate and doing the final testing. The release of the update is scheduled for next week - this also will be the official release of the Flying Circus Volume II. The map has been significantly redesigned and looks nothing like the early access version. The World War I Pilot Career mode has been completed - the tours of duty of the historical squadrons, various, new mission types are added while existing ones are updated to be suitable for World War I are all in.

I'm really glad that Lisunov Li-2 wasn't cancelled! :) It'll be great to have the more complete set of transport aircraft.

 

I'm curious as to the field mods (e.g. reinforcements for FAB-500, 8xFAB-100 loadout). It'd be hilarious if the devs managed to turn up references for the versions armed with rockets or NS-45 45mm cannons (although I suspect any photographs or drawings of those have been lost). Still, if they did find out more information it'd be fascinating!

After a absence due to some health problems, I come back to very nice and good news. Wonderful campaign for the Typhons an addition that make this game more immersive, thanks and with many tanks (PzV PzVI, etc...). :salute:

New map  looks nothing like current, hmm i hope they added more variety to foliage, like pine trees and hedges perhaps. Better ground textures would be welcome also.

I thought the Haluter's Skin Downloader contest sounded kind of odd. If I'm reading it right, someone submits a drawing or some other type of visual then a "talented artist" will create the actual skin? What about the 100s of "talented artists" in the community who've created thousands of excellent skins on their own? Wouldn't it be likewise nice to reward one of them with having one of their well made skins included as an official skin?

Li-2 is my next must-have !

Good idea as I really love the C-47 version so much.

 

Hopefully the Siemens, now in Beta, could still make it into 5.101 !?

My guess is that the Siemens will come with the next update after 5.101, otherwise they would have talked about it in this DD.

If it got into beta recently and the next update is next week, chances are slim they'll get it ready by then.

I think it'll come together with the Li2 this summer.

But I can always be wrong off course.

Very stoked to see the updated map for FC2! And the career mode will be a welcome addition, worth the wait. Thank you for your hard work on it, devs! ?

Just noticed that the Li-2 has a forward-facing machine gun.

 

I look forward to @MeoW.Scharfi's video of being an Li-2 ace in a flight ?

I am exceptionally intrigued by the turret on the LI-2, will this be the first true turret we'll have on a ww2 plane?

About Li-2 pls think about special additional discount for owners of DC-3 and vice versa?. Changes are present but it could be good idea according me, better for owners of second model and support for fast decision of buying ;). Just idea. ???

The Pe-2 Series 87 has a dorsal turret that is very similar to the one on the Li-2.

With "early access version", do you mean the Western Front map that was released only a few months ago? Or the Arras map of FC1?

It's nice to read that the new Western Front map has been significantly reworked. So let's hope for the best for the map and that we get what was presented us in various briefings room and officer club postings in 2020 and 2021 "as a goal".

 

I gladly let myself be positively surprised, if the redesign is noticable improvement over the early access version.

 

Looking forward to the final release of FC 2!

Excellent. Finally I will be able to put the right plane in the right scenario and that is LI2 flying in the Kuban area with Soviet paratroopers.

Love to see the Li-2, the C-47 we have is already impressively nimble (if very slow) so it might do a decent job of defending itself, especially with a player on the Berezin. Excited to try and use it for low level raids!

Oh, what to do! I want to support their work on FC3!

 

However, I also want to buy the Lisunov Li-2 because it has a fixed forward firing 7.62mm gun and I want to dogfight with it!!
