Russkly Posted January 31, 2023 Posted January 31, 2023 As per title. I'm in a Spitfire career that is now in mid-1942. Does the generator automatically reflect the changing priorities of the various air arms as time progresses, or is it advised to adjust these manually via the Advanced Config option? I ask, because, in mid-1942 I would expect to be doing lots of escort missions (Circuses and Ramrods) plus some interdiction missions (Rodeos and Rhubarbs). The current settings seem to be giving me plenty of CAP and still some intercept missions. Not that it's not fun; I just wanted to know whether these changes were automatic or manual. If manual, please advise how best to set the "Mission Types" to reflect the various stages of the ETO air operations - do the mission types, for example, need to add up to 100, i.e. a % figure?
PatrickAWlson Posted January 31, 2023 Posted January 31, 2023 You can change them to force more escort missions if you like. I don't have suggestions as to what the exact ratio should be.

I'll play around and see if i can come up with something that reflects history given that the RAF in 1941/42 was primarily engaged in Circuses, Rodeos and Rhubarbs over France. Has anyone else tried to adjust the advanced config, settings to recreate Circuses (i.e. a small force of British bombers escorted by lots of fighters trying to draw the Luftwaffe fighters into the air) or Rodeos (small number of Bristish fighters [often just 2] running interdiction missions over France)? I'm a little cofused by some of the nomenclature in the advanced config settings, esp. the numbers of flights and planes per side in "Mission limits" & "Aircraft Numbers".
PatrickAWlson Posted February 1, 2023 Posted February 1, 2023 @Russkly There is a tool tip for every config. Hover over it for as little more information on the config.

Is there a detailed guide for the advanced config. anywhere? I have searched, but found nothing that explains in detail what each setting does and impact it may have, etc.
