Hello,

I found a way to enlarge the tactical codes for the luftwaffe and the numbers a little, those that are offered are too small and even reposition them a little.

I took the opportunity to add a little weathering.

On the other hand I block to access the colors.

Some not being exact like the reds, greens, blues...the black color should be softened and the English sky needs to be improved.

But I can't find the color palette folder.

 

Anyone got an idea??

Mod for the generators of tactical badges and German fighter numbers.

 

Addition of tactical badges and numbers and repositioning.

 

This is temporary, while waiting to find a way to improve and review the more historic red, green and blue colors.

Hello,

They are already less shiny than the original ones.

I will try to improve this further.

In addition, some colors are too bright, but I can't access the color base to modify it.

You are trying to work on the colors.

 

Is it possible to add brown colors too, like for JG26?

Thank you for the compliments.

Indeed to modify the colors I need help.

I have not been able to find in which folder is the palette and the color management to improve them.

Like you, I wish I could

Hello,

It is true that my mod is primarily intended for the fighters FW190 and Bf109  for BON during which the Luftwaffe bombers were almost excluded from daytime missions during the Battle of Normandy and used only at night.

 

(Besides the chevrons are almost useless for BON, the Luftwaffe having eliminated them during the Battle of Normandy for reasons of discretion, the formation leaders often using the number "1" instead of the too conspicuous chevrons or codes to 2 digits for staff officer planes.)

 

Now I can redo a second MOD for the other battles, BOS, BOM, BOK, (To activate or deactivate on demand with JSGME). In this case I will only resize the tactical chevrons in accordance with the period in question.

 

Regarding the drop in quality, it's only due to the weathering that I applied, it's voluntary, I went there maybe a little strong... For that it's an aesthetic question which has the appreciation of each person and not easy to please everyone.

It looks Damn good to me. Sounds like someone is a little touchy about the fact that this wasn't done in house at 1C. It's a mod, if people like it then they will use it, if not they won't. No need to be insulting to the creator of this mod about something 1C should have already figured out and corrected themselves before the Normandy release.

It's more about the suggestions to integrate the mod into the game, rather than about the mod itself. Sure you can use whatever mods you like.

I don't intend offend someone, but this is not the way the problem could be solved with satisfying results.

It's mostly because of the upscaling.

I would rather say "mostly eliminated", because like with every rule, there are always exceptions. In this case, IV./JG 3 is an example where they retained the commander's and adjutant's chevrons. Not to mention, there are numerous examples of chevrons still being used during the timeframe of Rhineland.

Unfortunately there is no hope of using graphics to correct the luftwaffe rank cheverons and gruppe ensignia, due to the way the "decals" have been applied to the 3d model. (Use two character places to merge into a correct size cheveron.) It looks like the tactical code RGB values are defined somewhere in arguments referenced in the "plane".txt file.

Maybe chevrons and symbole as trait should be bigger.
