What max dimension d'you want it Pat? PM me and I think I can sort you out...

@Raptorattacker To some extent it is whatever combining the tiles results in.  The largest  map is Bodenplatte which is 7Kx5K.  The shape and dimensions of Normandy will be different but Bodenplatte serves as a ballpark.

Take up a plane for some recon flights and stitch them together! ?

Please see these two maps as contained in the following freely available Mega folder:

The above pair of shared maps were nothing but work in progress... they were the proposed maps... Could we have now the final map yet in the equivalent format? Thank you in advance!

I am able to do it myself.  I have already unpacked the map gtp and I can see the images in dds.  However, if I can get the map image already made it will save me hours on a project that probably has weeks ahead of it.  Quite often somebody out there has already created the map image.

@343KKT_Kintaro Thanks, but those are older images from the proposed boundaries.  I need the actual map including any borders in the image.  If I don't get that then everything is off.

While I'm at it: a question: what are the actual differences between the before and after D-Day maps?

This is very nice from you Patrick... but please don't. I asked that request assuming the devs were ready to share the map, thus assuming there's an official final version of this very same type of map. The two maps I fitted in Mega are obsolete WiP versions, I know.

Any devs hanging aroung? Would that be possible to get that JPG Normandy "grey" map, final version? Thank you in advance!

I got you! Be aware that this URL should become invalid in some days.

And from what I've seen, the main difference between the maps seems to be the number of airfields.

Got it.  Thanks all.  I have to admit that I did it myself so apologies to anybody I sent on a goose chase.  My requirements were very specific: it had to be the in game map exactly,  sized exactly and including all borders.  I did it by patching the 25 segments in maps10.gtp together.  I do appreciate all efforts on my behalf.

Still have the question: what is the difference between the two maps?

It's all the temporary airfields built in France after the Normandy landings.

Thanks for that.  How does that work in terms of airfield object placement?  How does one know which are for permanent and which are for temporary?  Are they in Normandy_Radars_Forts_Landing_zone.Group?

One question comes to mind... does this mean that in the "Normandy early" map, all airfields are German airfields? a map for the reenactment of the landings only?

EDIT: for obvious reasons, by "all airfields are German airfields" I was referring to the French portion of the early map... So my question remains the same: do you mean LukeFF that in the "Normandy early" map, all airfields located in France are German airfields only?

What else would they be in German occupied France?

I do not possess the module, I don't know the stages of the battle the maps correspond to. Normandy "early" might have been set to reenact the month of June, with a few airfields for the Allies, and Normandy "late" might have been set to reenact the months of July and August, with much more Allie airfields. I understand it's not the case, the "Normandy early" map presents France as it was on the 6th of June, 1944. Thank you for the clarification.

Ah, I understand now.  Yes, the early map is pre invasion up to the day of the invasion, the late map is post invasion.  The Allied engineers had functional air fields operational in an amazingly short time after the breakout beyond the beaches. Pipelines across the channel were in also laid down with amazing speed to supply fuel for vehicles and aircraft.
