System Intel 10,900K

3090Ti

Varjo Aero

First review after a couple of hrs, more to come.

Comfort, to me the most comfortable headset so far, it depends on the shape of the face, fits me perfect, feels very light.

Sound, has No sound, it did not made a difference to me since I have been removing the speakers on my VR headsets and been using earbuds for the past 2 years.

Colors  vivid and realistic.

FOV is smaller than Vive Pro 2 or HP G2, it does not bother me,  because sweet spot is the whole view and very clear, so at the end you have a much better view, you can check your six and see a plane and ID a plane, not just see a blurry plane following you, and try to guess what is it.

Performance , initially was the same as my Vive Pro 2, until I switched to open XR, which looks the same, and now it has better performance than my Vive Pro 2 or HP G2,

Picture, Clarity is very impressive, you can see every detail in the cockpit, a wingman or enemy you can see what plane is it from a distance, ground attack you can see what is what you are hitting clearly from a distance, be a half truck, truck, jeep, the type of cannon etc, spotting targets on the ground its a lot more realistic now, also to ID planes in the air.

Conclusion

Is it worth the $2,000? to me yes it is, and is a headset that will keep improving with software updates, and with better video cards you can get its full potential, so its a headset that you can keep for a long time.

If someone was waiting to get into VR because the quality was too low before, now you can have desktop quality in real 1:1 size with a Varjo Aero VR headset, no need to wait any longer.

P.S. Did not experienced any distortion at all.

Thank you for this review, I have to admit I am pretty excited.  I received my 2 week shipping notice on Thursday which was much faster than I expected.  Which means I need to get a sound solution and an updated eye exam to order inserts pretty quickly.  A couple of questions for you and some of our early adopters:

1.  How long did it take to get it into your hands after the 2 week shipping email?

2.  What sound solution are you, @dburne, and @WIS-Redcoat using?

Thank you in advance!

1. Probably around 3 weeks after the 2 week notice, maybe little less.

2. Razer Hammerheads earbuds. I really like them, have them plugged into my Creative sound port.

Also I got lens inserts from VR Optician, really like them made a world of difference for me getting a prescription for lenses.

I had to wait way too long, got the email April 13th and received it yesterday, mine was stuck in customs for almost 20 days.

I have a set of Razer gaming ear buds they work great, the headset comes with a set of earbuds, I have not tried them yet.

Don't bother trying the included earbuds, Razer much better.

Yeah that was the big surprise for me as well.
