Just below the airspeed indicator in this photo is a placard I can only partially read. Does anyone have/know the full text of it?

I can make out just part of it: ...und bis zur betaetigung des Fluges offen lassun

Ok, so I was able to decipher some more information on the placard with info from this site, but unfortunately they have half the placard blotted out :

So...

Mit Zusatz Kraftstoffbehälter

Schmierstoffhahn [unreadable]

Flugzeit öffnen und bis zur Betei-

digung des Fluges offen lassun

Or something like that? It looks like the second line with the missing text has something to do with the model of the drop tank system installed.

second part looks like: "... nach 1 1/2h Flugzeit öffnen und bis zur Beendigung des Fluges offen lassen."  <- "open...after 1 1/2h of flight and leave open until flight is completed."

Luke, how come you are researching 109E? Time for speculation? ?

I'm back! ?

So, that placard that can be partially seen below the gunsight - it's referring to the automatic propeller system. Based on the current texture, this is what I'm guessing it says:

Masch. ist Luftschraube

Automatik

Kurz-Betr.-anweisung

beachten.

Is that correct? @csThor, I recall you helped with this one way back when the E-7 was in development.

This is an earlier (hand painted) notice on the retrofit.

Maschine hat

Luftschrauben-

automatik

Kurzbetriebs-

anweizung

beachten

[The] machine has

propeller

automatic.

Short operating manual

to be taken into account
