I have a GVL224 controller and am using Joy2Key at the moment for certain encoder functions. However, I'd also like to map the oil and water radiator keyboard commands that are needed for planes like the Bf 110 to the analog axis levers. Is there a third-party app that will allow me to do that?

Yes, try this with Joystick Gremlin (although it might not be able to co-exist with Joy2Key):

You'll want, at the minimum, two different JG modes -- one for the 110 and one for everything(?) else, but really I recommend separate modes for the He 111 and the single-engine planes. See my post here.

It is a tad janky (both due to bugs in JG, and me not bothering to fix what isn't broke), but it works for me.

If you have any trouble setting it up, ask questions and then please send me a PR to improve the README.

Ok, thanks. ? I did download JG and attempted to install it, but it said it couldn't install because I didn't have vJoy installed. I then tried to install vJoy and was told it could not be installed, even though it is showing up in my list of installed apps. I then tried some of the solutions listed here, but I didn't get anywhere (to be totally honest, I didn't spend a lot of time troubleshooting it, so I may have missed something obvious). I have Win11 installed. What should I try next?

I'm afraid I can't help you with that. My install Just Worked(TM).  Can you launch the configuration tool after a reboot (i.e., perhaps it's just an installer problem?) You might also try asking on /r/hotas; I think a lot of people there are using it.

Ok, thanks, I'll try a few more things and see if I get anywhere.

EDIT: alright, all I needed was a reboot, and now I'm good to go. Now to figure out the actual key mapping.

Ok, @Charon, so I get the basic idea about how to remap commands, etc. What I'm not getting right now is how to have a command repeat as I move a lever up and down, i.e., to have for instance the water radiator continue to open as I move the lever forward on my throttle unit. How do I do that?

@LukeFF That takes special handling and is what the plugin is responsible for doing. You'll need to put the the manager.py, pollmanager.py, and discrete-axis.py files all in the same directory. Can you do that, and then add manager and discrete-axis (from the plugins tab)?
