Can't finish mission

Hi all!   Been playing just a few missions on easy  and can't seem to successfully finish a mission. Mission failed each time.  I've tried hitting all way points 

and landing at home base. ?

 

Any Ideas?

HI Jack - We probably need more info on what you mean by this.  If you mean that you can't advance your pilot career because of a "Mission Failed" screen in game, then simply don't worry about it and proceed back into PWCG.  PWCG doesn't "care" about the in-game mission result displays - I honestly never even look at that after finishing a mission.  Basically, you are deciding if the mission was successful by the After Action results you input into PWCG after flying the mission.  (This probably better reflects RL anyway, if you score a victory and everyone gets home okay - success, if you get your entire flight killed - failure, but the war goes on).  So a "mission failed" result doesn't change anything about how to use PWCG.

Unfortunately, not at this time - but maybe someday in the future (see below from a Stormbirds interview by @ShamrockOneFive a couple of years ago).  Reviving something like the old HyperLobby is mentioned in these forums fairly frequently, but I don't recall seeing it on any of the current development priorities (which Jason has been very candid have been impacted by Covid's impact in Russia).  However, I believe there are several player groups that have regular campaigns running in PWCG and others who just play with friends.  So right now, if you are interested, check out the Virtual Squadron's Forum on the main page - I know that DangerDogz post here fairly frequently about PWCG Coop.  Good luck!

Another challenge with the generator. Seems like I cannot continue after  more than three missions.  the subsequent missions are not generated in the game PWCG section of the game. Also cannot have more than 2 campaigns at once. Seems like the info is not the same in the generator as in the PWCG section of the game. Doesn't seem to match up after I add too many campaigns or fly too many missions. Any Ideas?

 

Thanks so much!!!  What a great program!!!  This is the only reason I fly Flying circus . Have been waiting for pilot career mode in Circus 2 and only now find it rewarding personally to fly FC1 only because of the PWCG.

This is one that @PatrickAWlson will have to answer, I fortunately have never had those problems.  I do know that you have to file an AAR after each mission (i.e. you can't try to fly multiple missions in game before going back into PWCG to record the results).  But as long as you are doing that, it will help Pat if you can use the "Report Error" button in the campaign and then attach the file it creates to a reply here and may review it for problems when he has time.

I've had 3 campaigns at once during the Ace of Aces challenge, and can definitely go more than 3 missions. Note that PWCG will usually have 4 missions for each campaign in the "Missions" section of the in-game UI. It sounds like you need to scroll when opening the PWCG folder of the in-game mission browser.

You can have unlimited campaigns and missions.  Something to try might be to manually delete the older missions.  Another possibility is that you do not own the  plane that has been assigned during the mission.  If you do not the mission will bein the folder but will not appear in game.  PWCG has incorporated FC2 planes as they come out, and not everybody has preordered.
