He had the same issue awhile back when you shot a tree. If you send these to him he should be able to fix it pretty fast.

I get that 2nd error as well whilst using the updated version (IL-2 Enhanced).

Looking at the path if comes up with: luascripts\worldobjects\explosions\shells\tnt660g_frag9kg_he_expl_ground.txt

I have underlined shells as in the explosions folder I only have bombs, effects, heprojectiles folders and no Shells folder, it seems to be looking for it which is probably why the error appears.

I don't think this has anything to do with the weapons mod. Are those Campaigns/missions old saves? Even in the stock folders under shells there is nothing that is labeled the tnt660g_frag9kg_he_expl_ground.txt

That actually makes a lot of sense if you ask me. Because old campaigns still keep their unmodded version even when it's modded. Happens when you add or change the planes in a specific career. Your old one will still be the same but if you start a new one it will have the updated changes.

I'm guessing it's old saves that are being corrupted by the updated AA gun. But i'm not 100%  sure. the other shell thats giving errors is a tank shell. you should just delete that file and it should be ok to use. Also try running the game without mods, and try those missions/ campaigns and see if the same error comes up.

Applogies for the lack of clarity. 

I had reinstalled the game from scratch and enabled the IL2 enhanced mod along with some skins and IL 2 BoX career only. 

I started a new single player career ( 1st mission of new install, no previous save files) and the error showed up approx 10 minutes into the flight. I then tried the mission again without the mods enabled and was able to successfully complete the mission.

As stated the other error is a tank shell, I do have Tank crew installed also. I will do some tests and report back.

The problem we are having is being able to recreate the error. I flew PWCG last night without issue...in fact I have not been able to reproduce this error message in any fashion as of yet. QB Rails and I are looking into this further so standby.

I can second this, i started a fresh Kuban career with the updated version of the mod(190a5) and i get the same 2 errors stalling the game. I also own tan crew.

Sunspots dept: I want to use this Mod but it is giving me one evident visual problem ( see VR Screenie: ) these wierd geometric sunspots along with return of "lens camera " sun reflections for which the lens correction mod no longer works. I've seen these before due to another mod but now have forgotten which one and it may well be that there is a problem with the interaction between this and some other mod I am currently using-I'd hate to have to go through all of them testing which it might be.Perhaps someone has an idea of what's going on & how to work a solution? Thanks!

Well the one error is a tank round I believe. Or some other AA round. You can delete that NPC projectile file and it should clear that error. The other one with the tnt660 shell I can not even find in the stock files. So it’s still unclear as to where that’s being used.

I checked out your mod on its own and it works fine, I did a couple of missions and had no crash. (Nice Mod) ?

I've tracked the text of my error to a npc_shell_rus85_he.txt (see highlighted text in picture) which has been added in the mod in data\luascripts\worldobjects\ballistics\ammunitionformpc  (Click on picture to enlarge)

I added a newer version of the file shown earlier (Pastrana) in the thread but even with the new txt file it causes a crash. What mod uses this?

I would suggest deleting that file from the that folder. It must have been updated last patch and that one could be old. I’m not sure my latest version has that file in it. I will make sure my weapons mod is current @drewm3i-VR this weekend.

I followed your lead and tried PWCG with the IL-2 Enhanced enabled. I flew without error for about 25 minutes until some windy weather and poor flying caused my pilot ObFw Heinz Beanz to crash and he is now toast. ?

I then tried the stock campaign again with the mod enabled and got the crash nearly straight away. Possible conflict with Tank Crew (as both I and 6GF_Jakl both have it, and both playing stock careers)??????????

there are 2 effects called sunglow.dds and sunglow.tga,location is data,graphics,sky,textures if you want to take them out manually,they are your culprit

6FG_Jakl          Disabled the mod in JSGME,  I deleted all the files in the data\luascripts\worldobjects\ballistics\ammunitionformpc (in the IL-2 Enhanced mod folder) and data\luascripts\worldobjects\ballistics\projectiles and copied in the latest files from QB.Rails Weapon Mod from his thread. Tried a mission from the stock default career and no error was encountered.

It is not necessary to delete I uploaded the corrected file, in a couple of posts above .Find and replace the file.

Nice!

Besides all of this nice work I want an icon Mod that only shows aircraft type a 1.5k and closer friend and foe and Friendly Pilot name at 500 meters and closer, to make identification closer to what you have in In real life.

Any of ya have that idea also?

  There is a mod for icons that makes the smaller and they can be customized, however that cannot be as your asking. They are either on or off but then again I’ve never looked into it. Try this out If you haven’t already, there are multiple customizations and I’m sure the maker could maybe give you your own liking.

When using this on career I had a ton of error messages pop up for all different types of textures any fix?

This is not enough. There are several more effects that are bugged and I have only cleared the bugs by replacing all of the weapon scripts with those from the QB.Rails mod.

An absolute game experience changer! Greatly improves visuals and AI, bringing more realism. 

Sadly, it conflicts a bit with Tank Crew, disabling all soviet tanks' MGs (on kv ant t-34). The game says they're unloaded just from the start but reload button doesnt work.

It also conflicts  with Bf-109 E7!!! The game says my MF/FF are empty from the start

Hi Pilots.

 

What can i use of this mod for multiplayer use? ( For example Finnish Virtual Pilots ).

 

In the case of VR , I have an Oculus Rift S , the enharcement on this pack is compatible with Oculus?.

Thanks for the response meplanes! I love your effects and want them to stay in the pack. The fire effects in particular are much improved!

 

I think you are right that it is an issue with the Weapons Mod combined with Tank Crew. I'm pretty sure everyone that had an issue with the .2 pack had Tank Crew.

For what is is worth - order of loading mods in JSGME can have a large impact on things. So I suspect that how you combine mods to create the pack would have a similar situation. Have you considered using JSGME as a tool to test and confirm exactly which mod should load when? You can create mod load profiles (an MEP file) to record each combination so you can track each round of testing. You can switch between these mod profiles with a few clicks of the mouse. Once you have a set up something that tests out ok then you can open the MEP file in a text editor to find out how to combine the different mods into a pack. You unfortunately will have to go through the same process each time a mod is updated but that's the downside of a combined pack. The upside being that one big mod is easier for some people.

Thank you for putting this together!

 

I'm trying out the Flat Screen version and found two issues:

 

First, you have read-only files mixed into the zipped directory tree.  Specifically data/graphics/textures/common/damage0.dds but there may be others.  Mod installation works, but when a mod manager like OvGME tries to uninstall or update the mod it fails because of the new read-only files.

 

Second, a note for OvGME users: the mod will not run straight from the zipfile.  You will need to extract the zipfile into a folder.  This issue may be because OvGME's bundled zip library can't handle unicode file names and therefore does not see the mod pack as a valid zipfile.

 

Two other pieces of feedback:

 

There is a "Graphics Presets" mod/config file that is mentioned in the Clouds mod thread.  It tweaks data/luascripts/gpresets.cfg.  Should that be included as an optional dependency for this mod pack?

 

I ended up removing one of the mods in the pack.  It would be great if you could publish a list of source mod zipfiles or URLs so others can tweak and build their own mod packs based on your work.  I'm fine grabbing the source zips myself and dump them into my mods/ folder instead of having to unpack this mod and surgically remove the target .dds files.

I just saw this error and I do not have Tank Crew.  It came up a few seconds into the first mission of a new Stalingrad Bf 110 career.

The crashing mission happens to be an Armor Attack mission.  The career mission generator has probably added some Russian tanks to the game world for the Bf 110 mission to attack and the tank object loading crashes the game.

Yes, i also got this error during Il-2 mission. So you cannot play this mod in Tank crew dlc neither fly missions

Wonderful Modpack. Wish the wintertime maps trees were a little more reliable with the quality but overall looks absolutely gorgeous on the flatscreen.?
