Trooper117 Posted July 29, 2021 Posted July 29, 2021 Just by looking at it you can tell it's completely OP... 1
AndyJWest Posted July 29, 2021 Posted July 29, 2021 Another crane thread? This forum is struck in a time loop. https://forum.il2sturmovik.com/topic/27701-this-technology-in-moscow-in-1941/?tab=comments#comment-442000 1
SirFlappy Posted July 29, 2021 Posted July 29, 2021 (edited) If the crane can lift 60 tons, bung the crane operator a bottle of vodka and he can give you a peek over the next village......make sure your seat has a good cushion in case you hear creaking sounds from the chain though!! Pict Posted July 29, 2021 Posted July 29, 2021 (edited) @jollyjack you're not from the Netherlands by any slim chance? Just that most Dutch guys I've worked with have a magnetic attraction to cranes for some reason @216th_Cat Wow, what a cool looking pub you are located in https://thebellinnbath.co.uk/ and the idea of it being a co-operative and owned by 500 of it's customers is really interesting 11 minutes ago, AndyJWest said: This forum is struck in a time loop Pretty much...1941-45 Edited July 29, 2021 by Pict 2

It doesn't matter if these cranes are new, are they historically accurate? 1

I am going to look it up for you in my library (section WWII cranes) to shine some light on the matter. 1
Monostripezebra Posted July 30, 2021 Posted July 30, 2021 They are historically accurate.. just if you´re wondering. https://www.igg.org.uk/rail/9-loads/11-crane.htm classic companies for towering cranes where the swiss Güring and Julius WOLFF cranes some good old WW2 cranes live long and live on today
Jade_Monkey Posted July 30, 2021 Posted July 30, 2021 How is the FM of the crane? To answer OP: No, I don't think cranes are new. Those factories were released with BOM iirc. 1

Stromboli Posted July 30, 2021 Posted July 30, 2021 This is Brilliant, how did I miss this and be so late to the Party. Salute!
Noisemaker Posted July 31, 2021 Posted July 31, 2021 My question is, is when will they be player controllable? I mean, who wouldn't want a career as a crane operator loading torpedoes onto U-boats in the Kuban, every once in a while swatting a pesky plane out of the sky when they come to bomb your docks? 1
Lusekofte Posted July 31, 2021 Posted July 31, 2021 Did you check if it got DM. I mean sitting there in a tank and all.....

They're more or less like all the other static buildings; a big puff of smoke appears and then it's rubble on the ground. 1
TheWarsimmer Posted August 1, 2021 Posted August 1, 2021 Just imagine when the devs make new skins for the cranes. I can't wait! Personally I want to see a semi-rusted weathered look.
