Just by looking at it you can tell it's completely OP...

If the crane can lift 60 tons, bung the crane operator a bottle of vodka and he can give you a peek over the next village......make sure your seat has a good cushion in case you hear creaking sounds from the chain though!!

@jollyjack you're not from the Netherlands by any slim chance? Just that most Dutch guys I've worked with have a magnetic attraction to cranes for some reason

@216th_Cat Wow, what a cool looking pub you are located in https://thebellinnbath.co.uk/  and the idea of it being a co-operative and owned by 500 of it's customers is really interesting :good:

Maybe its because Holland (NL) is so flat ,I knew an old guy from March (Cambridgeshire) who also had a thing about cranes...East Anglia has a lot in common with Holland........drainage ditches and crane fetishists!

It doesn't matter if these cranes are new, are they historically accurate?

Thát's the main question of course.

I am going to look it up for you in my library (section WWII cranes) to shine some light on the matter.

How is the FM of the crane?

To answer OP: No, I don't think cranes are new. Those factories were released with BOM iirc.

Don't you mean CM (crane model)? Or are you two steps ahead of the game and are already thinking of the Freight Model?

This is Brilliant, how did I miss this and be so late to the Party.

Salute!

My question is, is when will they be player controllable?

I mean, who wouldn't want a career as a crane operator loading torpedoes onto U-boats in the Kuban, every once in a while swatting a pesky plane out of the sky when they come to bomb your docks?

I have shot a crane before. They're more or less like all the other static buildings; a big puff of smoke appears and then it's rubble on the ground.

Just imagine when the devs make new skins for the cranes. I can't wait! Personally I want to see a semi-rusted weathered look.

The number of times I manage to smack my a20 into one, I'm starting to suspect they have some kind of special aluminium attracting magnets installed....
