We are missing the boats

Other than the landing craft, will you be adding any Destroyers and Cruisers to BoN?

Thanks

A destroyer. Maybe later on I can add to the fleet.

Hate to be that guy and spoil the party, but with the typhoon being released, will the tempests FM get a revision?

I was expecting the Typhoon closer to the end of June! Can't wait to download the update and take it up for a test drive. My poor P-47 might be gathering dust in the hangar for a while.

I agree. The only advantage of the jug is that it can do bombs and rockets at the same time but I think I still prefer the tiffie.

The rockets are more powerful and it is a much better fighter than the jug down low.

Also 4 20mm cannons can provide a lovely parting gift when an overconfident 109 overshoots...

I'm quite excited about the Bren guns: Light anti-aircraft fire is great... to make ground targets more lively - also, it is a step (along with the pillboxes) towards having some fixed infantry positions to attack. It'd be great to have some 'armed' versions of trenches or earthworks someday.

The addition of interdiction missions aimed specifically at rail-yards is also marvellous - I hadn't thought it'd happen... but it really is a great improvement to BoBP!

Sorry to bother you with questions... but I assume that is an allied destroyer? It'd be interesting to have an axis destroyer at some point (for destroyer vs. destroyer engagements).

10. Fixed visibility of P-51D-15, P-38J-15, Ju-52, He-111H-6, B-25D, Il-2-42 and Il-2-43 at distances over 1 km (they appeared smaller relative to other aircraft);

@Han, how can I understand this point? I've noticed that visibility of the planes is not as good in game as in real. I believe that's not an easy task to create proper plane silhouette against the background. You have to fight with rendering in non-analog world of software development. But I've assumed that rendering of planes has the same rendering strategy for all the flyable objects regardless of the plane model or my assumptions aren't right?

Getting this error on Arras map with D8 added into an AI area. happens after about a minute of game play.

This is just LOD tweaking for certain planes so they are the size we intended and all planes are using the right LOD and sizing at the right distance in keeping with our earlier visibility changes.

Killer update. Has the typhoon been implemented also to the BoBP careers as AI and flyable like the 190A6, Mark XIV and G6 late were?

Cheers

Just a note to add, because I know it will come up at some point - all Typhoon missions are rocket-firing by default right now. Dive-bombing missions for 440 Squadron (and one other squadron) are still being worked on. So, at this point, if you want your whole flight to carry bombs, you'll need to be the squadron commander.

Is it just me or do the typhoons Hispano mk2s have the same ROF as the hispano mk5s?

I noticed that too, but maybe the 4 guns firing at the same time are giving that impression.

You guys are the best dev team on planet, great work!

@Jason_Williams I don’t know if it has the same rate of fire as the MKvs, but the gun sounds on the Tiffy both inside and outside cockpit are really similar to the Tempest, when it shouln’t be the case. It sounds more like the Tempest than the Spitfire’s guns. Maybe the files got changed or something like that? Or maybe i’m crazy, that might be more likely :P

A small bug. When ejecting from a typhoon, the pilot ejects as long as it has not expended all the ordnance.

If he has expended all of it then only the canopy is ejected and the pilot cannot eject and remains glued to his seat contemplating his end. Without any more armament he is likely doomed. Going down with his plane his last words are "What a cruel world".

What is the dial that displays 0 to 5 degrees for on the Typhoon's reflector sight and is it functional?  If so what are the key commands?

You guys rock!

On the topic of releasing another Normandy campaign plane and related stuff, I don't know if this idea had been bandied about already, but is there any possibility about coincident (time frame wise) collector planes and maps and campaigns for the eastern front's Operation Bagration (or even as entire BoX chapter to the sim)?  This would be something I'd buy in a heartbeat - not to mention, since the eastern front is already covered for the years 1941 (BoM), 42 (BoS), & 43 (BoK), this would introduce 1944 planes into the sim for the eastern front, e.g. planes like Yak-3, La-7, etc.  If this is already in the idea/planning pipeline, then never mind.

Not sure if the effect is new...

...but flying the Typhoon in VR I was hit by AAA, the cockpit was filled with smoke, and fire roasted my virtual legs ?

It felt so real that I screamed to my wife to get a bucket of water in order to try extinguishing it ?

It's fuctional - the key commands are in the in Specifications tab. I have no clue how to use them but supposedly it can assist with aiming rockets.
