VR IL2 stürzt ab / crashes in VR, need help.

Hallo, ich brauche dringend Hilfe. 

Mein IL 2 stürzt im VR Spiel ab sobald ich 1 min bis 5 min bis 10 min die Karriere spiele. Und zwar so, dass es ein Standbild gibt, ich die steifen von Steam vr Ladebild sehe und im Hintergrund aber das Spiel weiter läuft, was man an dem Ton erkennt. Ich kann auch noch schießen, und höre das das Flugzeug irgendwann einfach abstürzt. Ich muss jedes mal Taskmanager öffnen und das Spiel darüber schließen. Ich meine dieses Problem habe ich, seit dem ich die RTX Duke 2080ti OC habe. 

Bei einem Schnellspiel habe ich das Problem eig selten bis nie. 

 

 

Folgende Schritte habe ich nach und nach über Wochen und Monate ausprobiert:

 

Ich habe Grafiktreiber neu installiert. 

 

Ich habe Spiel neu installiert 

 

Ich habe meinen Takt der Grafikkarte um -100 MHz herunter gefahren. Mal Hoch gefahren auf +100 (Über MSI After Burner) 

 

Ich habe an den Grafikeinstellungen geschraubt. An jeder einzelnen und geschaut ob es besser wird. 

 

Habe Super Sampling mal runter gedreht bis auf unter 100 %. Einmal über 200% gestellt. (unter 100% ist das Spiel deutlich schneller abgestürzt) 

 

Ich habe in Nvidia Eperience verschiedenste Einstellungen probiert. 

 

Ich habe Nvidia Experience software gelöscht. 

 

Ich habe mir FPS VR gekauft um die Werte anzugucken. Von CPU und GPU. Alles soweit ok, GPU usage = 80% bis 95%. Und CPU usage bei 18% bis 22% ca. 

 

Ich habe in Internet nach ähnlichen Problem gesucht und einen Eintrag gefunden, wo jemand das selbe Problem beschreibt. Da sagen alle, dass es was mit der Übertaktung der Grafikkarte zu tun hat und er soll einfach seine Übertaktung raus nehmen. 

Aber ich habe ja schon - 100 MHz gemacht. (kenne mich da jetzt aber nicht weiter mit aus) wie ich jetzt die vom Werk aus Übertaktete Grafikkarte auf "normal" stellen kann. 

 

Ich weiß nicht mehr weiter und würde einfach liebend gern wieder IL2 spielen können... 

 

Hoffentlich kann jemand helfen.

Hello, I need urgent help.

 

My IL 2 crashes in VR game as soon as I play 1 min to 5 min to 10 min the career. Namely so that there is a freeze frame, I see the stiff of Steam vr loading screen and in the background but the game continues to run what you can tell by the sound. I can also still shoot, and hear the plane at some point just crashes. I have to open taskmanager every time and close the game over it. I mean I have this problem since I have the RTX Duke 2080ti OC.  With a fast game I have the problem eig rarely to never.  I have tried the following steps little by little over weeks and months: I have reinstalled graphics drivers.  I reinstalled the game  I lowered my graphics card clock by -100 MHz. I drove it up to +100 (via MSI After Burner).  I have screwed on the graphics settings. Every single one and saw if it gets better.  I turned Super Sampling down to under 100%. Once set above 200%. (under 100% the game crashed much faster).  I tried various settings in Nvidia Eperience.  I have deleted Nvidia Experience software.  I bought FPS VR to look at the values. Of CPU and GPU. Everything so far ok, GPU usage = 80% to 95%. And CPU usage at 18% to 22% approx.  I searched in internet for similar problem and found an entry where someone describes the same problem. Everyone says that it has something to do with the overclocking of the graphics card and he should just take out his overclocking.  But I have already done - 100 MHz. (know me there now but not further with) how I can now put the factory overclocked graphics card on "normal".  I don't know anymore and would just love to be able to play IL2 again.... Hopefully someone can help.

Open MSI Afterburner and try to lower these settings:

Ich vermute, dass die Graka zu heiß wird. Ich würde

- die Graka zunächst mal auf die Werkseinstellungen zurücksetzen,

- prüfen, ob alle 3 Lüfter einwandfrei laufen,

- prüfen, ob der Airflow im Gehäuse ausreicht,

- die Graka (probeweise) austauschen, sofern du unbedingt IL-2 o. ä. im VR-Modus fliegen willst.

Du kannst natürlich auch

- die Grafikeinstellungen in IL-2 so weit zurücksetzen, dass die Graka nicht mehr so viel zu tun hat.

- die Renderauflösung, die du für dein VR-Headset eingestellt hast, reduzieren.

In den Nvidia-Einstellungen würde ich den Energieverwaltungsmodus auf "Maximale Leistung" setzen.

 

Na ja, und letzten Endes kann natürlich auch die Graka einen Defekt haben.

Ich glaube nicht, dass die Graka zu heiß wird. Ich habe da während des Spiels drauf geachtet und die war immer bei ca 68 bis 75 Grad. 

 

Ich habe dieses Problem ausschließlich bei IL2 Sturmovik und in keinem anderen VR game. 

Ich zocke auch seit 3 Jahren gar kein PC am Flatscreen. 

Hauptsächlich habe ich das Problem ja bei dem Karriere Modus. In den Schnellmission kommt es sehr selten vor. 

 

Komisch ist ja, als ich die Renderauflösung total niedrig gestellt habe ist es fast jede Minute abgeschmiert. 

 

Und wenn ich in-game alles auf low Stelle schmiert es Auch sehr oft ab. Auf Ultra ist es dann alles etwas stabieler und läuft länger. 

 

In den Nvidia Einstellungen ist schon "Maximale Leistungs" ausgewählt. 

 

Ich versuche noch mal die Einstellungen von dem User icecream der auch was dazu geschrieben hat und danach bin ich völlig plan los. 

 

Habe übrigens ein 700Watt Netzteil sollte eigentlich auch ausreichen. 

 

Villt fällt sich ja doch noch was ein ??

Please check what error event you are receiving in windows 10 from the freeze.

start>zuverlässigkeitsverlauf and doubleclick the error message from the IL-2 crash and copy it here if possible.

It seems that it is not related to the GPU, I was expecting a error event code 144 or 141 if this was related to the GPU, which it isn't.

just to be sure, all the errors in the "zuverlässigkeitsverlauf" are the same as the one you posted right? 

 

If so what I would advise to do is to reset the bios to the default optimized settings and retry, if same, you can do a clean windows 10 reinstall if you haven't already done so, 

this is usually the fastest way of knowing what is at fault, and will fix it most likely.(or try suggestions in the topic below)

 

as I looked this error up, only one topic was worth reading about it:

I will see if the other error messages are exactly the same. And I will reset the BIOS to factory settings. So the last step is W10 reinstall ? I will keep you up to date.

Hi,

So I have now made some screenshots from the other days. 

Not all critical errors in the diagram are triggered by IL2.
One, for example, from the Pitool (from the Pimax VR glasses) and one from another game (walking dead saints an sinners). I didn't take any screenshots of these, since I don't really have any problems with them. Most of the errors actually come from IL2.
Maybe you can draw some important information for me from these screenshots. unfortunately I don't know anything about it.

In any case, I am very grateful to you for taking the time to solve my problem.

 

My Bios is reset. I just have to test it. But unfortunately I'm still working at the moment.

Glad that we checked the other reports, because the first two reports with "nvwgf2umx.dll" fault module are related to the GPU.(hardware error)

a strong indicator that it is the GPU: "I mean I have this problem since I have the RTX Duke 2080ti OC."

 

however, try IL-2 first with the bios at default settings, if no effect, clean reinstall of windows 10(takes 10m on ssd) if you are still receiving the hardware error, then I would point it to the GPU, either by VRMs getting cooked or some hotspot.

 

also one of the reasons why it only crashes in IL-2 is because, in IL-2 your GPU usage is almost maxed, as you said in your post "GPU usage = 80% bis 95%" = more heat on the vrms, since your core temp seems fine, this is a pure guess, but the same is happening to my 2080ti if I do not limit my temp target in msi afterburner, it started acting up after 2 years, I have replaced the thermal pads and paste, no effect for me.

 

so it will be interesting to know if you still receive the hardware error event "nvwgf2umx.dll" with Exception Code c0000005 after a clean install of windows 10, if so, then we know the problem.

The BIOS is set to factory defaults. What I will try now is to set a temperature limit. And apply the settings as set at the top of the post in Afterburner were in the screenshot of you. If that doesn't help, then I guess I'll have to redo W10. I'll get back to you on that.

I renewed Windows 10 on my PC and everything works now. :)
