Forgive me for the trivial question, but how do you get those badges with the acronyms of the various campaigns (BoS, BoK, etc.) in this forum under your name and avatar?

Well! I have recently purchased BoS, BoM, BoK and BoBP; how to get badges please?

From memory I seem to recall you only get them if you preorder prior to each release.

Did you buy il2 from steam? Not sure if you get them if purchased through steam.

I do not concur as I’ve got a bronze one for Kuban. Just the gold badges are the ones that went with premium or preorder etc.

Yeh that’s my understanding also. The regular purchases bronze.

Preorder Standard gets you silver.

Buying after preorder period gets you bronze.

Buying Tank Crew gets you green.

Buying from Steam gets you nothing.

Actually buying from steam does get you something, Every time you leave a post you get, do you even have the game?

I Bought Tank crew the other day, I'm yet to see my bar show, i'm surprisingly salty about it ?

FC has appeared fine, i got that at christmas.
I suppose there's a code cock up some where or something.

oh well, at least I get to tank it up online.

It does not look like they're created a non-preorder version of the TC badge yet. It is the last of the products to leave pre-order so it could be a change in strategy overall or maybe just an oversight.

Do not worry, @greybeard_52  I am sure no-one thinks you do not have the game, it is just their rough boy's humour.

 

My steam account is the one I use for play, as it updates much better than the launcher.   I have a grey beard too - no screenshots will be provided.

@greybeard_52 I wasn't asking if you had the game, just saying what some would ask if you have none of the tags. Personally I think steam players should have the tags too. You paid for the game as much as we did.

I didn't consider that aye, i'm mildly less salty, bit like a washed pickle. ?

TBH I haven't even tried TC yet, i'm busy with something else but i'm looking forward to having a scoot about in the panzers.

Not exactly, I think; I bought it with a special offer. I could have accepted the reply about Steam not giving right to have badges, as I did: I understand that who spent 80$ instead of 11€  has right to get something more. @greybeard_52 I think you misunderstood what @NO.20_W_M_Thomson wrote - he never said you shouldn't get it because you paid less, in fact he didn't know you did, he is saying that as a paying customer you should have the same tags as well.

I can confirm you don't get them if you buy through Steam. I was told that this is because the two companies don't share that info so there's no way for the forum software to know about your Steam purchases. I could argue...but I'm generally happy with the game and it's a relatively minor disappointment.

 

ps - can you guess which module I bought on Steam to start playing?

We can tie our forum to our store for purchases we control, but we can't tie our forum to the Steam store. Steam does not give us much information to work with, just enough to get the content to work together.
