Will the update that was announced in the Developer Diary # 266 - Ground Physics and Visualization Improvements for Tanks appear this year, or not until 2021?

Well most of the time they have some key words that suggest that an Update is imminent. Like "Soon" or "near future" etc.  Since Han was mentioning it, my best guess it will be sometime before or at  Christmas.  So something between 1-1.5 weeks. I would be suprised if we don't see another update before the end of the year.

Hi @addi, that is a good question.

But whether the update is released before the 31st, or in the days/weeks that follow, it will IMO represent another significant update to the Tank Crew module in terms of simulating the most accurate WWII AFV environment to date. A sort of coup de tat within the world of simulated period correct AFV's if you like.

According to the diary notes, The vehicles in Tank Crew are not only going to gain a more accurate visual representation of the tracked suspensions for each vehicle, but a more individualized detailing of the muzzle flash and smoke plume for each gun will also be added; "Before all the gunfire effects looked similar, but now they'll differ depending on the muzzle brake and the power of the gun"

There is no mention of whether or not the update will also include any tweaks to the related sound files, but the announcement as stated should be very much appreciated by the AFV community here.

Yeah sorry for not being able to give a specific answer to your question, but if you see it like I do, then you would agree the update is going to be worth the wait whenever it finally arrives.

@LachenKrieg

the wait will definitely be worth it, regardless of whether the update will bereleased in 2020 or 2021 !!!!!
