ShampooX Posted September 2, 2021 Posted September 2, 2021 wow pretty cool Leon. I got Burning Step going and even though I was the only one playing it was a lot of fun. Hopefully it can get it's own full time server one day. I'm going to keep playing, maybe moire people will join. One of the problems I had was there was so many enemy AI Tanks I kept running out of Ammo; too many waves of targets I felt like I could never get past the enemy waves to see what lies ahead. Anyway I can tell it's a lot of work to do what you did - it's awesome. Great job. 1
moustache Posted September 2, 2021 Posted September 2, 2021 hello @[N.O.G.F]Leon_Portier , I tried the mission A Simple Mopup , really nice (even if I have not yet succeeded, but that's another story ...) ... on the other hand impossible to play cooperative missions, I'm fine put the file in the mission folder or cooperative multiplayer folder, I can't do anything, the file appears in the menu, but is empty and I can't interact with ... what did I do wrong? thanks again for your work, TC is really better with ! 1

You'll either need to call in all 3 AI Stuka flights or get some friends to play with. Too bad I haven't figured out a way to scale a mission difficulty to player count. 6 hours ago, moustache said: hello @[N.O.G.F]Leon_Portier , I tried the mission A Simple Mopup , really nice (even if I have not yet succeeded, but that's another story ...) ... on the other hand impossible to play cooperative missions, I'm fine put the file in the mission folder or cooperative multiplayer folder, I can't do anything, the file appears in the menu, but is empty and I can't interact with ... what did I do wrong? thanks again for your work, TC is really better with ! Many thanks! I recommend to put all mission files into the cooperative folder without the mission folder. GB seems to like that. If you drag and drop the data folder into the data folder of your root game directory, everything will get put in the right spot automatically. MajorMagee Posted December 21, 2021 Posted December 21, 2021 I must be missing something simple. The single player version of Sherman Airdrop never seems to get a trigger for the mission to start. The other Sherman fails to respond to any commands, and just sits there. If I give up waiting for the signal to start, and go wandering around the map on my own, nothing ever shows up. I've looked at the map in the editor, and see where things are supposed to be, but it's as if timer to begin everything never gets switched on.
Spinnetti Posted December 22, 2021 Posted December 22, 2021 Maybe because all the 3rd party missions broke in the last official update? - I'm not certain if that's the cause, but none of my missions worked after the clouds update.
MajorMagee Posted December 22, 2021 Posted December 22, 2021 I changed one the start-up timers from the original 0 seconds to 1 second, and it seemed to run fine after that. I also updated one of the background effects from city_firesmall.txt to city_firesmall_loop.text to prevent it from fading in and out.

Yup, looks like the update did it again. I'll resave everything when I get around to do it.

After resaving it the mission runs perfectly fine.

MajorMagee Posted June 8, 2024 Posted June 8, 2024 Okay, where do you put the Templates, and how do you access them?
Leon_Portier Posted June 8, 2024 Author Posted June 8, 2024 6 hours ago, MajorMagee said: Okay, where do you put the Templates, and how do you access them? I have them in IL2BOS\data\Missions. Made a groups folder, drop the unzipped groups in the groups folder. Then they should show up in the editor under "Groups" on the right. And a little thank you would go a long way.
MajorMagee Posted June 8, 2024 Posted June 8, 2024 (edited) Thanks for the explanation! I didn't have a clue what to do with them, and thought they might go in the Templates directory. Edited June 8, 2024 by MajorMagee
