MaxTurn Posted September 25, 2020 Posted September 25, 2020 I had been doing a career {shot down again on 7th mission} and had not flown a individual mission since the update. When I tried some of the Missions done by Jade_Monkey and others they would not load. But I found a solution which had been posted =621=Samikatz. I have used this method and it has worked on a number of missions but I haven't flown more than a couple after making the changes. I would note that when you open the missions in a folder (after manually erasing the .msnbin files) you can't open an entire folder of missions. However, if you open an individual mission then you can save all of the missions in the folder and new .msnbin folders are generated. Note that I know almost nothing about building missions but this appears to fix all the problems. My guess is that the .msnbin files must contain the information about maps and elevations etc. I saw another solution which involved converting files to binary but I could not get that to work. Any credit for this fix must go to =621=Samikatz. So thanks to the folks who create the missions (Jade_Monkey and all the other members of the community) and thanks to =621=Samikatz.
jollyjack Posted September 26, 2020 Posted September 26, 2020 (edited) It worked, but if someone has old missions made by Coconut or Veteranen66 working again, i'd be glad to know how to do it. Maybe the reason is that i did not install 4.501 fresh, but updated 4.009. I am going to reinstall 4.501 fresh first .. i have an error with the ME i cannot find why. Zeev Posted September 26, 2020 Posted September 26, 2020 (edited) Or you can resave your whole library of missions and/or campaigns with this software. To do so, you need to start the application, click the "Resave missions" from top right and then check what you want to save (either all missions or what you want) and click resave. Please note: resaving whole library can take hour or more time depending on your CPU and how many missions you have chose to resave. Guide on how to resave your whole library of missions: Step 1: Click "Resave Missions" button. Step 2: Check the type of missions you want to resave and click "Resave" Step 3: Click "Select All" and then click "Resave" Edited September 26, 2020 by Zeev
