Firstly, verify that your system is clean of Virus or Malware.

Ensure unneeded programs are NOT running in the background.

Your hard drive(s) may be going bad.

A RAM module may be going bad.

Good luck on discovering the problem(s). :salute:

Finally, is your system overheating?

First thing I would do is stop the overclock. See what happens at stock speed ...

Thanks for the tips, guys. i’ll into those.

@Thad : Wouldn’t hardware failure cause problem regardless of what you’re running? It’s only IL-2 that crashes.

Could be a lot of things. The VCRuntime140.dll file could be corrupted, which could be caused by viruses, hard drive issues, etc. Could be an issue with your Windows install as well.

I have run into .dll errors like this on work applications and it has been a failing hard drive a couple times, so you may want to run a disk check. Basically a portion of the hard drive where the dll file is stored is corrupted and it can't function normally. Other programs may work fine because they don't use that particular .dll. I had a laptop where only a couple programs were failing to launch, and it was just that the hard drive had been slowly failing for months and the user hadn't noticed because most of the stuff they used worked OK.

Check the Windows Event Viewer to see if it says something about a hard drive having bad blocks, or shows other errors of this type when launching other programs.

@RedKestrel : Thanks. I'll look into those.
I forgot to mention that my games and Windows are on separate SSD drives.

I just noticed you use Steam, have you verified the game files using the Steam app?

Yeah. That's the first thing that I did when it started. Did it again after the last update.
