ataribaby Posted September 20, 2020 Posted September 20, 2020 Hi, Encountered minor graphical bug with Tempest rudder trim - it graphically deflects in opposite direction than it should. Another one is with mission Tempest Mk V Rat Catchers, Me-262 just started and instead taxi to runway and take off both just started directly from ramp across runway and crashed into woods so whole mission was useless.
1CGS -DED-Rapidus Posted September 21, 2020 1CGS Posted September 21, 2020 The mission was only supposed to simulate the takeoff of the me 262) in fact, the player usually had enough time to destroy the me262 before they successfully started the engines. Thank you for the report. 14 hours ago, ataribaby said: ncountered minor graphical bug with Tempest rudder trim - it graphically deflects in opposite direction than it should. Yes, Right.
ataribaby Posted September 21, 2020 Author Posted September 21, 2020 (edited) Hi -DED-Rapidus I think I do not understand your answer. Problem with mission: "The mission was only supposed to simulate the takeoff of the me 262" - problem is they are not able to take-off. They run directly into woods instead to taxi to runway and take off. Also I don't think this mission should be about simple strafing of stationary 262s. It is even written they attacked them when they flew slow on landing - I presume take-off counts as well. It was bit let down after I flew there to see how both 262 crash into woods. I can some well timed proximity trigger will do the trick. When player is close enough they will start so roughly when player arrives over base they will just do take-off run or is shortly after take-off and gaining speed. Problem with trim: I know how trim works. So you are saying it is all right how it is now? When I set full left rudder trim tab is fully deflected to right. So how it can produce left yaw ? Trim is applied correctly to flight model. It is only graphical bug. Edited September 21, 2020 by ataribaby

The trim tab deflects to the right, which in turn deflects the entire rudder to the left (assuming a constant stick force), therefore produces left yaw. ataribaby Posted September 21, 2020 Author Posted September 21, 2020 (edited) Ahh I am stupid. So I didn't know how trim works! I see now. Thanks 71st_AH_Barnacles Edited September 21, 2020 by ataribaby
