Answer from developer:

 

Its in the BLITZ game... TOBRUK is added to BLITZ... there is no separate listing.

 

You will see an 11gb download happening to BLITZ when you attempt to run it.  (assuming you have purchased TOBRUK)

how do you access the update? i bought it via il2 store, and steam downloaded but in game there is no changes whatsoever

Actually, when it was all said and down, unfortunately it worked out to be cheaper on Steam by a couple of  $ vs. 1C site - that's okay, Team Fusion gets more of my $ that way anyway, so no regrets. A more limited budget and also trying to be more financially astute given the economic situation with the pandemic, I chose this title over MS FS2020 (more into combat anyway) - so congrats Team Fusion, you won my $. Crossing my fingers and hoping for the best! It looks pretty good...looking forward to trying it out and looking forward to more things to come. ?

well that's odd because my download requirement didn't change. Are you saying that everyone who doesn't buy Tobruk will have the content downloading as well, but just won't be able to use it?

nvm, it's just registered an increase to 11GB now.

DWT is an add-on to CloDB, not a seperate game. The update includes DWT if you own it and have enabled it in the Manage DLC option in the Steam library.

EDIT:

Nevermind. For those like myself who don't have a clue and purchased through the Il2 website:

Go to your profile in the website.

Click on purchases

Look for your purchase and click on Activate

Copy / paste into Steam

Launch the game... it will start downloading / updating

hey, some advice - if you are getting "Disk write error", turn off your anti-virus and try again. Mine didn't like the maddox.dll. Then set it to trust that file.

1. Click IL-2 Sturmovik: Cliffs of Dover Blitz in your Steam Library.

2. Scroll down on the game’s library page until you see “DLC” on the right hand side.

3. Click on “Manage My 1 DLC”

4. Check the “enabled” box for DWT.

5. The DLC will now install.

In my Blitz edited missions AI seems more aggressive than before, staying in the fight longer. Canopy reflections are improved and only negative so far is I've lost my loadout screen options button so I cannot determine if loadout is the one I want. Early but I'm thinking maybe Sun glare effect has had some adjustments, overall initial impression: way better than I'd anticipated.

Possible bug - I don't think the wing mounted guns are firing on the Blenheims - not seeing any evidence that they are working (no tracers, no impacts - yet flashes from wing when firing).

I thought that it's a bug too, but it turned out that it's just a tracerless ammo

Quite right. Upon further inspection they do hit things, lol.  Damn tracerless ammo makes it more challenging flying the earlier variants! ?

There is tracer ammunition for the .303's, so you should be able to add it in custom loadouts.

Edit: Oh btw, whomever made the Tomahawk cockpit - you are a star. Sweet office, might make me prefer this over the Martlet (impossible)

No bombs on the Martlet at the moment.

 

We have no indication they were used as ground attack at this stage.

 

They were mostly used as Convoy escorts.... they are Fleet Air Arm aircraft.

 

If someone can show they were used in the ground attack, then we can fairly easily add bombs.

 

Normally they carried two 100 lb US bombs... but these of course, are not available with the British.

 

So they would likely carry 250 lbers.

Get the feeling that CLoD was quite better before this 'update'. Had no problems getting a Spit or Hurricane up then, get the feeling that something is wrong now;

I really dislike the jerky joystick donkey-ride like response for rudder, elevator etc since  the Tobruk affair, but maybe i am wrong ...

Annyone got bombing going with a Wellington?

 

Also the map over the UK seems not better, but i might be wrong here too. The Tobruk map ends after a straight line in a real deserted area ...

We'll see what goes, back to IL2 for a while LoL.

Bombs shouldn't be available yet on the Martlet. Added this to our list of fixes.

If I purchase Tobruk through the GB Store and activate the code on Steam which do I pick to install?
