Wilma Deering pilot was 3d printed in standing nude pose ,then remodeled into seating position, Aves Epoxy sculpt scratch sculpted uniform was added and painted. So practically all scratch built I suppose TBH. 1
RedeyeStorm Posted February 5, 2024 Posted February 5, 2024 Very Nicely done. I have been modifing an Rebel alliance pilot but at least he got his clothes on! 1
voncrapenhauser Posted February 14, 2024 Author Posted February 14, 2024 This was a quick and enjoyable build. Selene from the movie Underworld. 1/4th scale resin statuette, finished in under a week, which is rocket speed for me. 6 1

Your not wrong there, it was a mixture of matt , satin and gloss blacks. She is As per production picture references, Kate Beckinsale looks far more pale in the movie, as The Director wanted a darker less colourful world which was mostly at night , The entire film was digitally colour correctd. I supose that Vampires by day does not work so well, until the later sequels. Edited February 14, 2024 by voncrapenhauser
voncrapenhauser Posted February 17, 2024 Author Posted February 17, 2024 (edited) Just started another BIG model project. 1/8th scale Lamborghini Muira , engine mostly finished. Venturi Meshes are so cool but unfortunately will be under an air box soon, seems a shame not to show them, I am still in two minds to leave the air boxes off ?? ,as some Muira's were like this. voncrapenhauser Posted February 18, 2024 Author Posted February 18, 2024 Update on The BIG Muira so far. Engine and substructure/frame, with rear suspension attached. The rear arms were a nightmare to get in place , as they are mostly metal parts they don't flex much and getting the angles right to assemble and put in the bush pins and screws. The air was a little blue and my blood pressure was up, but it turned out not too bad in the end, and there was me thinking this hobby was relaxing.......Sheesh! 9 hours ago, GOA_Karaya_VR said: Hello Fellows I would like to share this pictures of my very first model build by me, this was a christmas present from my wife ?. voncrapenhauser Posted February 20, 2024 Author Posted February 20, 2024 Cracking on with this one, Rear brakes, rear anti roll bar and rear tie rods plus expansion water tank and associated pipes and hoses. Started on cockpit assembly also, fitted carpets, floor mats etc parking brake levers and miscellaneous bits and bobs. 3
voncrapenhauser Posted February 23, 2024 Author Posted February 23, 2024 More Muira. Front suspension unit.cockpit and center section of body so far. 8 1
No_85_Gramps Posted February 25, 2024 Posted February 25, 2024 For you Star Wars fans... the Empire does pin-ups! Not my model, a shot from the local IPMS contest yesterday. 1 2
voncrapenhauser Posted February 25, 2024 Author Posted February 25, 2024 (edited) More Muira. Slow progress at the moment as although this kit is very detailed it still needs repainting of parts in places, I know this as a mechanical technician back in the day I used to work on Italian cars like this. The wrong colours in places and such, some added wiring and extra hoses and clips need adding here and there,in this scale are noticeably missing. Fiam air horns I thought were necessary too. voncrapenhauser Posted March 2, 2024 Author Posted March 2, 2024 Apologies if I am flooding this thread with Muira stuff ATM, just I am on a role with this build,I just don't want to loose momentum with this build as I have way too many unfinished projects already. 7 1

XQ_Lothar29 Posted March 3, 2024 Posted March 3, 2024 Modeling friends three days ago I finished my new Bf109K-4. I hope you like it as much as I enjoy painting I will put the photos hidden because I don't want to damage the image by erasing the cross Bf109 K4 12./JG27, Prague-Kbely airfield. Protectorade of Bohemia and Moravia, May 1945 "WIP" Spoiler Well now for the next one. I'm not sure what type of plane to make and what theater of operations, but I think I'll change to some modern plane... we'll see. hahaha 14 1
Art-J Posted March 3, 2024 Posted March 3, 2024 @voncrapenhauser It's "Miura" not "Muira", but given how much one has to pay for it, I guess you can call it whatever you want ;). A pretty awesome model, I have to check what other types they offer in this unusual scale. 1

Yes Pocher kits are less costly but do not have the level of detail but I think in this case the price is ok from Agora, even though this is a Hattchette model. Check out" Agora" and "IXO" models 1/8th scale I certainly recommend them ....No issues with their service unlike other partworks.. 5 hours ago, XQ_Lothar29 said: Modeling friends three days ago I finished my new Bf109K-4. voncrapenhauser Posted March 7, 2024 Author Posted March 7, 2024 (edited) Miura ....Finally done. The body panels fitment and gaping were an absolute nightmare. The hood/bonnet was the worst ,with a 10mm gap at base of wings.....it was appalling, I had to modify the front hinges and associated chassis members just to get even close. That alone took about 2 days of fettling and is as "OK" as I could get. The windscreen design of just a flexible piece of sheet clear plastic was also a challenge to get even close,I think a molded screen would have been a wiser choice. Outcome???, I will leave others to judge. I am not entirely happy with the outcome myself, but I am happy now its finished and can go into The Lambo section of my display with my Countach and Aventador.. It is an official for just that.) Regarding cars, he wrote an article „Autoensh*ttification“. The main idea being that is is fundamentally a bad thing to be the salesman of items from which an independent consumer can choose. (Which would be the very idea of Adam Smith‘s idea of capitalism.) Vishnu Posted March 28, 2024 Posted March 28, 2024 (edited) "Russia, Spring, 1943" 100% Scratch built, including shed, base, tree, and the explosion. Still need to tweak the base and put a second coat of stain on it, otherwise it's finished. It took me about 6 months to complete, working mainly on weekends, and a few hours here and there after work during the week. A couple photos near the end are in low light to highlight the artillery strike, but the terrible video at the beginning gives you the idea of the explosion in low light. Hope you guys like it, it was a lot of work! Edited March 29, 2024 by Vishnu 13 2 2
