about Crop map

Recently I edit Kuban Map

this map is large, I get a message from friends

he said you can crop part of map and edit mission in that region

no need run full map ( but he can't edit  , he just listen from forum)

does it true?

 

can Senior tell me how to do? tks!

as attached picture sample (I want to mission only in rec region)

I didn't think this was possible, but I'm interested if someone comes along and says it is !

You can't change the map size. You can delete objects from it to make loading time faster. That's probably what he means with "cropping". I doubt he is referring to growing vegetables.

 

Be careful if you delete objects from an entire area of the map. The groups are usually near the center and the objects they contain like bridges or airfields cover the entire map.

On a large map I will put in the cities,towns and ports then select and delete all outside the mission area.  I then Save.  Next I Group all Objects, Save again.  if I need to edit the Group I can set it to Working.  Then I add Airfields and like with the cities/towns/ports delete all that are unneeded.  Again a Save.  Then I add bridges.  Generally I leave them alone as they don't seem to cause that much of a CPU load.

Once I am satisfied with the scenery I Save as a [mission name].mission and begin building the war effort on it.
