If you want aces in PWCG ...

Post a csv in this format.  Pretty much just three columns: victory number, date in dd/mm/yyyy format, victory type

Do that and I'll do the rest.

Example:

Gerd Barkhorn VIctories.txt

I got Hartmann, Barkhorn, and Hrabak in 8.7.0 ... but thanks anyway.  Those three guys and a Russian whose name I forget are the only aces in PWCG right now.  I have pulled the files posted and got as far as adding Glinka.  Could use a couple of Americans and Western Front Germans (I have data on Bar so not him)

I have added the Russians.  I'll keep working my way through them.

If anybody has better information than wiki on promotions, squadrons, and medals please post a link with the ace.  Wiki isn't a bad start but it's not complete either.

In so far: Kozhedub, Glinka, Rechkalov,  Yevstigneyev,,Gulayev, Hartmann, Barkhorn, Rall, Bar,  Hrabak

Have more than enough for JG52 (I will add Sachsenburg).  I don't like to add too many historical figures because there is no room for the player or AI.

Next in the queue: western allies

I have Christopher Shores' Aces High which has data sorted as: date / type (including probable & damaged) / aircraft flown  / location / squadron assignment

I reckon the location isn't terribly useful, and that you'd only want official victories not probables and damaged. Pierre Clostermann scored victories whilst assigned to five different squadrons, while a guy like Roland Beamont shows he was assigned to 150 Wing for his 1944 victories.

For the USAAF credits I have a sexy 680 page  volume titled USAF Credits For The Destruction Of Enemy Aircraft, World War II. However this document omits type of enemy aircraft destroyed.

How would you like me to format the data for submission to 1) include squadron/unit assignment and 2) the absence of victory type? I'm flexible.

@busdriver

The most important thing that I need is date.  If no type is available then I can simply plug in EA.
