TAIPAN_ Posted June 8, 2020 Posted June 8, 2020 Thanks for this, very nice to fly with these. Does the weathering affect the glass canopy scratches as well? Or is it just the metal surfaces and gauges?
FTC_ChilliBalls Posted June 8, 2020 Posted June 8, 2020 13 hours ago, Oyster_KAI said: - Enhanced frames of Galland panzer (Less Weathering version only) ※The mapping of this texture is very small, even worse than the canopy screws on Fw-190. I can only enhanced it by using gradient color and hilights. Really makes one wonder why some texture maps are so small. Would be awesome if the devs reeased versions of older meshes like this with all the stuff the Yak9 or FW190 D9 have. 1
blue_max Posted June 8, 2020 Posted June 8, 2020 I really like the less weathering on the seat. It was just way too much before. Could you also do it for the foot pedals? Overall it looks great to me.

But it is not impossible to improve. 39 minutes ago, blue_max said: I really like the less weathering on the seat. It was just way too much before. Could you also do it for the foot pedals? Atomic_Spaniel Posted June 9, 2020 Posted June 9, 2020 (edited) Oyster, Windows Defender blocks download of the Ju-87 files. It hasn't done this for any of your earlier files. Any ideas? Have you changed anything in the way you rar the files up? EDIT - I downloaded them anyway and checked with AVG and Malwarebytes. Seems OK and no problems. Edited June 9, 2020 by Atomic_Spaniel
Venom Posted June 10, 2020 Posted June 10, 2020 Absolutely amazing! You're doing marvels. Thanks and keep up the good work.? Like someone mentioned: finally cockpits are now en par with the DCS pits. No, even better with the new canopy reflections! But best of all: I can fly in VR with all 4K textures and options on, whereas VR in DCS is a mess, everything below 90fps looks just screwed.

IL-2 GB is mentioned in a very positive way in the threads over at Hoggit DCS ! I too have come and gone over to ... IL-2 GB ! I still like DCS too, but they have to get better at managing the OB/EA branch. The IL-2 GB code OTOH is managed *as it should be* ... sometimes we do have some minor issues, but as a whole I am amazed at how they can keep most showstopper bugs out of the IL-2 builds (compared to ED as it seems ?) ! Thank you for these improved cockpits Oyster_KAI that indeed, as mentioned by Venom too, put IL-2 pits visually on par with the DCS pits !
Oyster_KAI Posted June 12, 2020 Author Posted June 12, 2020 (edited) Yak Fighters Updated!! Many missing shadows have been added, especially Yak-7b. Of course, more legibility enhancements and highlights have been added. Old Yaks now have clearer Soviet symbols on the gunsight base. The difference in color is due to the different rendering of the sky (cloud MOD). It is not that this mod changed the texture color. Oyster_KAI Posted June 15, 2020 Author Posted June 15, 2020 (edited) Bf-109 G-6/G-14,Lavochkin Fighters Updated!! Some misaligned textures have been fixed, and the texture of the seat has been further enhanced (only for Less weathering version) Bf-109 G-6/G-14 is now the same standard as F-2~G-4, but K-4 lacks a lot of screws and cannot continue to work temporarily. Lavochkin Fighters There are strange graphics on the landing gear lever due to incorrect texture boundaries = fixed. The original texture presents square-shaped scratches, the only thing I can do is redraw it. Examples of enhanced shadows. Cockpits using the same equipment can get the same upgrade. The same problem with IL-2s, there are a lot of Alpha transparent areas that are not accurate, and they have been repaired as much as possible. S10JlAbraxis Posted June 17, 2020 Posted June 17, 2020 Hey Oyster - Absolutely love your cockpit mods! I did notice an anomaly on the BF -109 G4. Not sure if it is related to your mod or just an issue with the the base graphics. As you can see from the attached screen capture the two empty instrument mounting areas have a tan background. The G2 has a similar arrangement but the background on the blanks is black as it should be. Anyone have any thoughts on this? Is this a known issue or some problem with my files? Thanks!

Oyster_KAI Posted June 23, 2020 Author Posted June 23, 2020 (edited) Ju-88 A-4 Updated!! The latest plane of 46, upgrade complete. This warning placard is fiction, but achieved better results. Adjust the length of the fixing bar according to the position of the screw. All Revi C12/D Gunsight have the same issue, will be fixed at next time. Most cockpits have received many improvements, they already have enhanced legibility, instrument details, shadows or highlights, or more special textures. When these transparent areas and Alpha mapping are also completed, the improvement of the cockpit is expected to come to an end. At that time, I will release the package for lazybone? jokerBR Posted June 29, 2020 Posted June 29, 2020 Great work, thanks for doing all of this. I was using the new cockpits for some time now, but was forced to uninstall due to an effect that happens when you move laterally inside the cockpit. I don't know if this happens on VR or only with TrackIR, but when you quickly move laterally (i.e., on the X axis), there's sort of a "layer" over the cockpit image that move with a bit of lag, creating something like a "shadow" that pursues the real image. It is like having two cockpit images, one is the real image, other is like the "shadow" of it. It's not the blur or ghosting that some monitors have, it's really a "second layer cockpit" effect. Removing your mod, everything goes back to normal. Not a clue on what may cause it. Shaders in the last update? I don't know if this is related to your mod or the way I have my nVidia settings in Inspector at the moment. Using a GTX 1080 with freesync compatible on 144Hz ultrawide. Probably my settings, as I haven't seen anyone else with the same problem, but thought on sharing here anyway, in case someone else clever than me may have an explanation. Anyway, your enhancements are really good. Will try again on next driver update. Cheers.

I thought a bit about undoing all my adjustments... unfortunately nVidia Panel isn't enough for the kind of adjustments I'm doing. After so many hours tweaking and adjusting the game, I finally got rid of (almost all) shimmering, and also the dreaded microstutter from TiR panning (I'm on TrackIR). Image and panning are all perfect, smooth, without jaggies, pretty - even on "crowded space" and with a lot happening around. Since the problem isn't occurring when using the default cockpits, I'll just let it be for now. It may be related to the driver version, who knows... I'm sure I'll be revisiting this (and maybe tweaking again) as soon as my system updates to Win 2004 and I'm forced to go to a new driver version (new WDDM model?) and/or we receive further game's engine updates. ?
