Does anyone have this problem? It happen only with your Mission generator, with normal game I don't have this problem Thank you I'm doubting that PWCG is the direct cause given that it is just a mission generator. Maybe it's your graphics settings instead? Do you have the Dynamic Resolution Factor enabled because that could be causing the game to reduce the rendering to maintain the FPS in the mission. Your PWCG settings could well mean the mission is beefier (more units etc) than in other areas of the game.
aplaceinthesky Posted April 5, 2021 Posted April 5, 2021 Hello, thank you for your answer I will check into it
aplaceinthesky Posted April 5, 2021 Posted April 5, 2021 Hello I look at it in the option. it look it is put on "full" and it is blur but I cannot change it Do you know why? Thank you
=IRFC=Gascan Posted April 5, 2021 Posted April 5, 2021 If you feel comfortable with it, can you post a screenshot of your settings? That may help find if there is an obvious problem there. As they say, a picture is worth a thousand words. For example, here is a screenshot of my settings. You may want different settings than mine based on your computer hardware.
hsthhsth Posted April 5, 2021 Posted April 5, 2021 (edited) Because you have Target FPS on 'Off'. Dynamic resolution is supposed to help if program cannot keep up to target FPS. Forgot to add: that is in 2D, in VR you can always edit this option. Edited April 5, 2021 by hsthhsth
-332FG-KrazyKrws Posted April 7, 2021 Posted April 7, 2021 I have been using PWCG for a co-op campaign in mustangs starting from parked and loving it. I just picked up Flying Circus and started a co-op campaign with it in the FC version of PWCG yet I cannot find a setting to start parked. I only find the option for airstart or runway. Is there any way to make it start parked or is this a change planned for the future? Either way thanks greatly -KrazyKrws
JG1_Jaus Posted April 10, 2021 Posted April 10, 2021 In a coop campaign, what criteria are used fo determine medals, awards and promotions in the FC version of PWCG. I have read in old posts that air kills are the criteria for fighter pilots and ground kills for bomber pilots. Is that still the case? Are there other critieria? If fighter and bomber pilots have different criteria, how is advancement determined for pilots that fly in both roles by switching Jasta/Schlastas for variety? Are the air kills while in a scout, and the ground kills while in a bomber, both counted? And do they aggregate? Thanks
PatrickAWlson Posted April 10, 2021 Author Posted April 10, 2021 it's all different depending on service and whether you are talking medals or promotions and fighters vs recon. Medals for fighters German: simple: number of kills. Allies: number of kills in a mission is important as PWCG tries to assess acts of gallantry. Promotions for fighters: Missions flown and kills both play a part. Medals for recon/bombers/ground attack:: Both sides: number of missions and, for higher medals, ground kills. Promotions for recon/bombers/ground attack: Missions flown.
JG1_Jaus Posted April 10, 2021 Posted April 10, 2021 If a pilot switches back and forth between fighter and bomber roles, are air and ground kills totaled for award purposes?
PatrickAWlson Posted April 10, 2021 Author Posted April 10, 2021 4 minutes ago, JG1_Jaus said: If a pilot switches back and forth between fighter and bomber roles, are air and ground kills totaled for award purposes? Interesting. Had not considered that. Their criteria would switch the moment they switched roles. They would, of course, keep and medals and promotions earned to date.
JG1_Jaus Posted April 10, 2021 Posted April 10, 2021 So awards are based on fighter criteria and bomber criteria independently (?) Would that include missions flown?
PatrickAWlson Posted April 11, 2021 Author Posted April 11, 2021 8 hours ago, JG1_Jaus said: So awards are based on fighter criteria and bomber criteria independently (?) So if you fly 199 fighter missions, switch to bombers and fly a 200th, and there is a promotion for bomber pilots based on 200 missions flown, you will get the promotion.
GarrettJMorgan Posted April 12, 2021 Posted April 12, 2021 I might have missed it when I was skimming through but is there any plans to add a observer function like back in RoF into FC?
Cowboy10uk Posted April 26, 2021 Posted April 26, 2021 Hi there, I’ve finally gotten around to installing FC and was over the moon to see that the PWCG was working with it, love using this in ROF. Anyway just installed all 7 skin packs and the GB skin pack, yet PWCG is still showing I’m missing 166 skins? Can anyone help me, or have I missed a download somewhere. I basically downloaded everything to do with FC on the download page.

Dutch2 Posted May 17, 2021 Posted May 17, 2021 @PatrickAWlson I was flying an escort mission, while flying a jasta11 Dr1, I do not know what/why but the Halberstadts were constantly turning as if they did not know the directing. Napping-Man Posted June 8, 2021 Posted June 8, 2021 I can't remember if I've asked this before, but would it be possible to add a Deep Offensive Patrol type for the Entente, and limit Central Powers Patrols to mainly their side of the lines? I love PWCG, but that last added dash of realism to reflect The Great War scenarios would be icing on the cake. I realize it may be difficult since the Aerial scenarios for The Great War are vastly different than the frontlines of WWII.
OlPaint01 Posted July 7, 2021 Posted July 7, 2021 (edited) I recently updated my MoBo and Video Card to run High End Steam games. I recently recovered ROF from my backup but lost the original PWCG GUI that was working successfully on my old box hardware. I have taken several days studying all the Forums on (IL-2 Sturmovik, SimHQ, CombatACE, Rise of Flight, and PWCampaignManager) for articles about installing PWCG. And following these instructions that I learned, I successfully recovered the originally installed PWCG version 1.037 and got PWCG option button restored on the ROF main screen and successfully started PWCG GUI version 1.0 and flown a career. I discovered that Pat Wilson has updated PWCG through several iteration versions that I have downloaded from a variety of Web Sites. PWCGRoF 3.3.2, PWCGFC 12.3.1, and PWCG 16.3.1 for PSGME among others as a result of advanced development and bug fixes. No where have I found a forum article that describes how, step by step, to upgrade my ROF and Rise of Flight United games to the newer PWCG manager that Pat Wilson has built. I have studied the file and directory structures of both games (Rise of Flight and Rise of Flight 2.0) and recognized common files and directories in both. But I have no clue how to replace the necessary files to update the games to a newer PWCG. Can someone point me to a forum article with the complete set of upgrade instructions to convert over (remove, add or replace files) in my ROF games to run a newer version of PWCG? Hi OlPaint - Welcome back! I am not 100% certain I understand what you are attempting, but a few responses that might help: 1. I don't believe @PatrickAWlson has been updating PWCG for RoF for several years. He has now focused on Flying Circus & BoX with a new (RoF incompatible) version of PWCG. As you noted, it appears you can still get the RoF unified 3.3.2 version on the RoF forum link to that PWCG RoF website which is still active. I don't think you are asking these next 2, but just in case: 2. You won't be able to convert PWCG files from RoF to Flying Circus because the maps and aircraft (and code) are different. 3. The most recent versions of PWCG for FC and IL2-BoX are found in this thread in the PWCG subforum: Edited July 8, 2021 by Varibraun 1
OlPaint01 Posted July 8, 2021 Posted July 8, 2021 Thanks Varibraun for the quick reply. I am currently playing the old NEOQB version of Rise of Flight with Pat Wilson's PWCG Unified GUI version1.0 in PSGME version 2.6.0. I have recently installed Steam - Rise of Flight United and really want to install PWCG 2.1.2. Of course, I will have to be patient awaiting the Flying Circus compatible PWCG that Pat is developing now. Again I am asking is there a forum article or document with instructions for installing PWCG in a fresh version of ROF 2.0 (Rise of Flight United) from Steam? I have read that many folks have had difficultly understanding where the various unpacked files are copied to which game directories. and also the line change edits in the setup files to make the PWCG mission info sync with the campaign and pilot reports in the game. OlPaint01
Varibraun Posted July 8, 2021 Posted July 8, 2021 6 hours ago, OlPaint01 said: Of course, I will have to be patient awaiting the Flying Circus compatible PWCG that Pat is developing now. Do you have FCI? Because the "new" PWCG is fully Flying Circus compatible now and is included at the link in the post at #3 above. Regarding RoF, I have been focused here too long to remember any of those older RoF guides. However, my guess is that the installation and log changes for RoF are the same or very similar to what is found in the new IL2 versions. See those instructions here: http://c6-squad.ovh/wiki/index.php/Installing_and_Using_Pat_Wilson_Campaign_Generator:Main_Page
OlPaint01 Posted July 9, 2021 Posted July 9, 2021 (edited) Hello Varibraun. Yes, I own IL-2 Sturmovik: Battle of Stalingrad from Steam with the Flying Circus Vol.1 and Flying Circus Vol.2 add-ins. The PWCampaignManager web download site has PWCG Version 3.3.2 for ROF. But I also found PWCG Version 12.3.1 for BOS as well. I have also found PWCG Version 16.3.1. You have recommended PWCG 2.1.2 for FC. Which of these is appropriate for FC on Steam? I think I have figured out how to install PWCG after studying all the Forum Articles and how to use the ALT-TAB to switch between the IL-2 BOS and the PWCG games, I assume that the GUI is not available for PSGME although PWCG GUI 1.033c is available. OlPaint01 Edited July 9, 2021 by OlPaint01 corrected typo. Added PWCG 2.1.2 for FC question.

Okay, great! So if I understand that you are simply trying to play PWCG for Flying Circus, here is what you want: http://www.pwcampaignmanager.com/pwcgbos/web/PWCGBoS.php (see 1st screenshot below) -You don't need anything else (Forget/Ignore RoF and any other PWCG download sites - these are completely separate games & versions of PWCG) -Follow the instructions and guides at the latest PWCG Version Post by Pat in the Pinned Thread at the PWCG Main Subforum. @PatrickAWlson updates frequently and will apply a new title to that main post - The current one is "12.3.1 - Tanks!" (but he will likely release a version 13.0.0 soon). Link to thread/post here: https://forum.il2sturmovik.com/forum/99-pat-wilson-campaign-generator/ -You MUST use/download 64 Bit Version of Java (32 Bit won't work) - see 2nd screenshot below. -Download and Unzip PWCGFC into your Steam IL2BoS folder. (I also use Steam, so see 3rd screenshot below to see my directory patch on my C Drive) -Remember to change your startup.cfg to reflect mission_text_log = 1 See here: http://c6-squad.ovh/wiki/index.php/First_start_and_basic_settings That should get you started with PWCG in Flying Circus - HAPPY HUNTING! OlPaint01 Posted July 22, 2021 Posted July 22, 2021 (edited) The PWCG GUI version 1.037 works for me in the original Rise of Flight with a PWCG launch button on the navigation bar at the bottom of the main screen. Is there a version of The PWCG GUI available that is compatible to run a PWCG launch button in Steam versions of both Rise of Fight United and IL-2 Battle of Stalingrad: Flying Circus? I already have PSGME installed to load a GUI in both Steam Games. OlPaint01 Edited July 22, 2021 by OlPaint01

Barkhorn1x Posted August 23, 2021 Posted August 23, 2021 Hello Pat. How are you? You "may" remember me from the good old RoF days.* Wanted to know if you have any future plans for FC PWCG. More planes? More squads? More skins? Thanks in advance. (*If not that's OK too.)
Riggman Posted August 24, 2021 Posted August 24, 2021 I have installed and am using PWCG fine, but have no outside views ie F2, is there any way to enable?
ST_Catchov Posted August 24, 2021 Posted August 24, 2021 Enable "allow spectators" in the Realism settings. It gets noobs all the time. Surely it's a simple fix for the devs to change it to "external views" or something a little bit more understandable. It's been raised numerous times over the years. 2
JG1_Jaus Posted August 25, 2021 Posted August 25, 2021 I have a couple of feature requests. I am running a campaign for JG1 that has quite a few pilots enrolled. This creates a problem when looking at the list in "Administer Pilots" which has all pilots past and present. The list has become quite large and makes it difficult to find a living pilot when you need to transfer them to a new squad which I need to do frequently. I would love to have a tick box that would exclude dead/retired pilots from that list. The second request is for some way to scroll the list of pilots in the reference squad when looking at the chalkboard. This is the clickable list that appears on the right and shows health status along with pilot dossier when clicked. It gets long and runs off the bottom of the screen. The pilot health list also covers the squad/date/status box that appears in the lower right. Can the status box at be moved so as to not get covered by a long pilot health list? Thanks for listening. 2
SkyKingRP Posted August 27, 2021 Posted August 27, 2021 All of the support vehicles on the WW1 airfields (trucks, mobile AAA, fuel bowsers, etc.) on the PWCG airfields in Flying Circus are actually WW2 versions. (The other day, when returning from a mission, there was a 1940s era Soviet fuel truck parked in the landing area.) For most of these, WW1 versions also exist, as they are generated in other locations on the mission map. Is it possible to replace the airfield vehicles with period-appropriate vehicles? Thanks! 1
JG1_Jaus Posted September 1, 2021 Posted September 1, 2021 Hi Pat, I saw that you upvoted the feature request I posted 8.25. Does that mean its in the works?? In the meantime, is there a way I can modify the data files for a specific campaign to remove the memory of dead/retired pilots in the pilot administration screen?
KodiakJac Posted September 30, 2021 Posted September 30, 2021 (edited) Hi Pat, I've just started using PWCG Flying Circus, and I've started out with RFC 20 on June 1, 1917 flying Bristols out of Saint Gratien. But when they start out on the runway, they are facing into a line of trees, and they all crash just as their wheels are coming off the ground. They are starting out in front of the tents, etc. at the airfield, and if their orientation was rotated 180 degrees from the direction they are currently facing, they would have a clear takeoff run with no trees in sight. Is there a parameter I can change in the .mission file to rotate their initial facing/takeoff run by 180 degrees? Thanks! Edited September 30, 2021 by KodiakJac
KodiakJac Posted October 7, 2021 Posted October 7, 2021 (edited) Hi Pat, I've also found a problem with the Halberstadt CL.II campaign in PWCG. I started one on June 1, 1917 and on bombing missions my AI wingmen don't spawn with bombs even though I've got them loaded with bombs in PWCG. I spawn with my bomb loadout just fine, but they don't. Thanks for all you do, Pat! I've been using PWCG since the ROF days! Edit: I guess it's a problem with all loadouts. I just tried to add the wing mounted Lewis to my flight of SPAD VII's and it didn't work...they all spawned without it. Edited October 7, 2021 by KodiakJac
Guest deleted@219798 Posted October 11, 2021 Posted October 11, 2021 I noticed that the Halberstadts I was escorting had no bombs and when they got to the target all they'd did was circle around. So the mission couldn't be finished. This happens in all bomber mission, so I ended up removing them in the config file. Didn't want to do that as they're good missions to fly. Also it seems that no matter where I land on the airfield or taxi to I always get "Mission Failed". Seems there's no service area. May as well plonk the plane down in the nearest paddock.
KodiakJac Posted November 9, 2021 Posted November 9, 2021 I sure hope Pat will return from his hiatus on PWCG for Flying Circus at some point to add the Breguet 14 and fix some of the problems with the 2 seater missions. I'm a retired systems integration manager who came up as an assembly language programmer, and back when I was using PWCG for ROF I recognized how hard Pat must have worked on PWCG and I asked him "How many hours?" And if I remember correctly, I think his reply was around 1,000 hours, which didn't surprise me. And that was 6 years ago. All of us who use PWCG should be extremely grateful for the amount of hard work and time that has gone into PWCG for ROF, Great Battles, and Flying Circus. It's incredibly generous of Pat to offer PWCG on a donation basis only. I'm hoping that those who haven't donated in the past will consider donating whatever they can now to show their appreciation for PWCG. Thanks Pat, for all you have done for ROF, Great Battles, and Flying Circus. It has not gone unnoticed 2
