Hi Gnat,

SimShaker Wings pulls nothing. The game pushes the telemetry data. So, check and recheck startup.cfg file.

EDIT 1: Please disregard. I just saw another post about VPNs causing trouble with the port. I turned off my VPN and SimShaker is working as intended.

 

EDIT 2: A thought: A stickied and continually updated post with common fixes to issues would be useful.

 

Andre, thanks for your response. I copied the text from your instructions and did not make any alterations. Do you see anything that I may have missed (in the attached image)?

 My VPN was the culprit.

I've been playing with my SimShaker and JetPad effects and just realized that I'm not getting any vibration from the P-38 dive flaps.  I tested the Pe-2 and Ju88, both of which are providing an effect when speed brakes are extended.  Is this working as intended?  All of these systems are controlled by the same "AirBrakes on/off" key mapping so I expected the JetPad output to match.

Hi. I have this problem when registering. I clarify that I have a correct internet connection. I don't have firewall or vpn. 
I have also reinstalled the app.

Did you make sure the 'check for updates' box is ticked?

 

I was having problems until I did that.

@Pastrana The process is very easy - I would make sure it installed into Program Files (x86) admin permissions and auto startup (he launcher). So when IL-2 starts up, it application auto starts up and shuts down.

Thanks for the answers, the error was mine, I took as a reference what the bar above said, demo mode, (blue underline), when in fact I had to take the reference in the text of the log (red underline). So if it is working as extended demo mode.

My SimShaker Wings 2.5 software suddenly won't work properly. The SimShaker Launcher works fine, but when I then either launch IL-2 for the autostart to then open the Settings window, or try to manually start the settings window, that SimShaker Wings settings window opens for a second or two, then closes, over and over again.

 

I tried reinstalling SimShaker Wings 2.5 but the same problem persists, whether or not I run as administrator.

 

Update: I downloaded the beta version and got SimShaker Wings 2.8 to work - woo hoo! 

 

Now the issue is I can't get it activated, using the Keyless Activation I get a "Something went wrong" error message. When I use the Activation with Key option I get a "Wrong email or key"  error message. 

 

With the "Extended Demo Mode enabled" I shouldn't worry about the above, right?

Please PM me your name or your order details and I add you to the new system so you will be able to use the Keyless Activation. I didn't import all the users to the new system yet.

My amp is plugged into my motherboard via aux jack (not usb). I have reverb G2.

 

Windows firewall blocked SSW but I enabled private network and denied Public....must they both be allowed?

 

In simshaker wings when I click "test", the shaker vibrates, but when i fire up IL2 and fly, the shaker does not do anything? Am I doing something stupid?

 

Simshaker seems to register that Il2 is running but further than that....nothing comes through to the speaker.

Did you modify your "startup.cfg" file accordingly? Without those entries, Simshaker won't work. Read the instruction, please.

 

You need those entries:

I get this in SSW but speakers are dead. What does " Further packets arrival can be controlled at Verbose Log level" mean?

that means if you mark the Verbose Level box you will see more records about the packets, if they are arriving

I believe there is something wrong with your startup.cfg file. No telemetry device packets coming.

I must have pasted it in incorrectly....I deleted the code and then repasted it in startup.cfg and it works now. Thanks for the feedback. Cheers Dendro.

Looking at the second screenshot IL2 GB isn't "talking" to SimShaker Wings.

 

Check / add (copy/paste) these two keys in your starup.cfg, if not already done:

You've got an obsolete version wich can't be registered any more. So, it's in demo mode.

Please get version 2.9 from simshaker.com website and activate it with your email address registered in my webshop. Activation in most cases is keyless.
