@BlackSix, I think you will find that many or all of those P-51s were actually D models. For instance, 14710: http://www.americanairmuseum.com/aircraft/14425

Also, George Preddy's P-51 that he was shot down in in 1944 was definitely a D model.

@BlackSix,

Alex, I have the 352nd squadron history, (from the squadron itself) and thus have all of the aircraft, tail numbers, losses, dates, pilots etc etc.

Let me know if I need to type up a full list of losses for you.

Thanks!

Ok, I checked the numbers and there is only one P-51B, if this is not an error...

106852 P-51B (328th FS, 352nd FG) in landing accident at RAF Bodney, Norfolk, England Jan 10, 1945. Pilot survived but aircraft was destroyed.

The list has been updated with a modification next to the numbers.

Jim, I've sent you a PM, thanks!

Bringing this one back up from the dead, because I found a listing for a P-51 C-10 lost by the 328th FS, 352nd FG, @Gambit21, while taking off from Chievres on March 10, 1945: http://cgibin.rcn.com/jeremy.k/cgi-bin/gzUsafSearch.pl?target=&content=P-51C-10

Interesting, I don't have that listed in the squadron record.

Last B I see lost with the 328th is PE 42-106624 Lost with either Lt. Jamie Liang or Marion V. Long (both listed) 4/28/44

So you found an omission in the official history it seems. If Bob was alive I'd call him and ask him about it, but sadly I can't anymore. :(

Probably a squadron hack on a local hop, I’d guess?

Definitely possible, but unfortunately I don't have any more info on this plane at the moment.

That is a shame. ?

Actually, I take that back - that C-10 is this plane: https://ww2aircraft.net/forum/threads/reference-thread-352nd-fg-the-blue-nose-bastards-of-bodney.23248/page-3
