The FC career just came out so there is only one FC career system, not one for each module (FC I, FC II, FC III).  Maybe you're thinking of PWCGFC careers?

To add to what's already been said, there are only phases in FC's career mode that are based on the war's historical timeline. Trying to divide it up into Vol. I, II, and III would be chaotic, given that many of these planes had a long frontline service life.

Thank you both @LukeFF and @czech693 but i am just referring to the enjoyment that I will get starting a carrer today, but maybe the question is not well made. As of today, you enter carrer and there is no sign of I, II, or III. Just a carrer. I suppose when you make the choice of year, location and airplane there might be some differences. 

 

I just started a new carrer, and selected the Halberstatt as starting Flugzeug. Hoping for the best!

Yes, the career mode is simply based on the historical timeline of the war and the available planes at the time you choose to start.

I’m coming from RoF. Is there an in-flight map you can bring up like you could in RoF? Or is going to the main menu and briefing the only way?

The M key for "map" should bring up a small map in the lower right hand corner. I personally prefer to use the O key (for "objectives" to bring up a full screen map.

Thank you, I’ll try that. I couldn’t find it anywhere in the key bindings.

You have to also enable "show HUD" (key H) to make minimap work with "M" key. If you don't enable HUD, minimap will not pop up on a screen.

Me, after finally buying FC1 because controller issues with RoF just popped up again, FC1 has official campaign and it's in sale rn:

"Awesome, now off to the IL2 forums to ask about some pointers on how to maximize my fun with it, import old RoF skins etc"..

Then started to browse here and figured i most likely don't even have to ask any questions because y'all got us all covered already.

This community is amazing.. I'm not interacting here often, but whenever i do it's a f'in joy..

I don't think most of the ROF skins will port over without some adjustments.  They are typically too dark.  If you want to try changing them here's a link to the method:
