Thx Kraut1 i look at them next time i play. Made a mission today and only my flight and one enemy was on the map even if i set the ambient flights to 16. Did the same with Moscow and it was fine.

As observed by @Stonehouse there is an issue with EMG and the new resaver and I made some further tests:

EMG with create_msnbin = 1: mission does not work.

EMG with create_msnbin = 0: I was able to open the mission in ME + to save it and alternatively I was able to resave it directly from ME without opening it.

 

For EMG mission creation I have created a "IL-2 environment" with the old resaver and with this it is still possible to create the missions directly.

 

But the new resaver seems to be extremely powerfull so it's good to use it...

With the patch for the Resaver EMG works again.

And mission generation is now much more faster!

New version of EMG following the latest Il2 update.

 

Version 91
-Added Zeppelin as target for Intercept and Attack mission on Flying Circus maps
-Updated Flying Circus scenery with latest cities and landmarks
-Added extra early 1918 front to Champagne map
-Fixed bug where when v1-rocket was intercept target, the generator would crash
-Renamed map 'Upper France' to 'Northern France'
-Changed Hanriot HD.1 introduction date to August 1917

 

IMPORTANT! 

Please note that the Il2 developers have updated the mission resaver program. It is now much, much quicker than before. However, the 6.107 version has a bug. The missionresaver.exe doesn't work properly and the resulting mission (.msbin file) won't load. This will be fixed in the upcoming hotfix. In the meantime you can download the program here and install it manually. Simply overwrite existing files in <il2 path>\bin\resaver.

-hotfix has been released already.

After the update, I tried to create a mission with EasyMissionGenerator_v91, and when I ran it, this error appeared.

I overrode MissionResaver, but the error still appears.
Any solutions?

Don’t forget to select your il2 folder location again, first entry on the first tab.

Sorry, I can't find it in the list of planes on the relevant maps and time period.

Maybe you try this for test (I am currently not active with v91)

See Kraut’s post. I have added the zeppelin as target for intercept/attack missions only.

 

I’m not sure yet if we can use the Zep as an AI bomber, I’ll test that later

In that case your EMG installation seems to be corrupted/missing files? I would do clean install ie unzip to a new folder

Thanks, guys, but I must be doing something wrong.

I found Zeppelin, created the mission, and saved it. When I launch it, it starts loading, and then I'm thrown back to the mission list screen.

This could be the old Resaver, have you installed the patch?

As far as I understand, the resaver is only needed to save OLD missions for the NEW version? I did create the mission in the new version.

And as Sneaksie said:

It quickly saves .mission files as .msnbin ones and usually is used for multiplayer servers with dynamic scenarios.

But my mission is not for multiplayer, it's single player.

Or am I being stupid again...

For EMG you need the new Resaver for all mission types. Please try it.

EMG needs the resaver if you want to create a msnbin file.  Please read my instructions in the release notes (see above in this page):

 

 

You can also only create the .mission file by changing this entry in config.ini to create_msbin = 0, but this will only work for single missions AND you need to manually delete any msnbin files that still exist with the same name. A lot of bother, I don't recommend it.

I'm really new to IL2, Flying Circus and Easy Mission Generator. I'm wondering if it is possible to resuply at the airfield in missions created by Easy Mission Generator? If so, where do I need to go to find the resupply point?

Sorry for the noob question.

 

(edit: I realised after I posted that I had set a button bind to rearm. Problem solved.)
