Airfield Textures not loading...

I was responding to Ickyclass.

 

mtree is for the multiplayer.

 

All these three files has no link to the editor.

 

They are created when you run multiplayer, single player and i'm not sure for the last one.

you could very well be right on the ttree.  I have never had to delete it.

 

I know mtree clears up issues with MP mission, so maybe the "m" stands for missions (sp/mp dogfight/coop)

I think you and Habu are correct about mtree for SP and MP (dogfight and coop).

Just delete the surface.dat files.

I had the problem with the Rheineland Summer map.  Renamed the Surface.tex and Surface.,dat files, started IL2, Loaded a mission using that map, exited IL2, then fired up the Mission Editor, loaded a mission using that map and voila, there's the missing airfields. The ones that were missing for me were all the runways and ramp areas for the new airfields on the Rheineland map, but only for the summer map, autumn was fine.
