Trapper Posted December 8, 2018 Posted December 8, 2018 More of your fantastic work, these are great skins?. Thanks so much Bugsy.
JGr2/J5_W0LF- Posted December 9, 2018 Posted December 9, 2018 (edited) NO Prob my pleasure, This one is for MysticPuma....I started to redo my skins with the Alpha layers and finished 4 of them including the Big Stud. I redid the tail which gave me a headache and the serial number on the wing and also corrected the OD glare layer. Edited December 9, 2018 by 325th_Bugsy 4 1 2
Rjel Posted December 9, 2018 Posted December 9, 2018 You are one prolific skinner Bugsy. I don't know how you work so fast and yet keep the quality at a high level. I putter along at a snail's pace in comparison.
IIN8II Posted December 9, 2018 Posted December 9, 2018 Very WIP but. I wanted to make a very grungy 47 as if its been operating from very duty field without being cleaned up. 4 3

senseispcc Posted December 9, 2018 Posted December 9, 2018 Wonderful job, yes I did write "job" because with this volume of work it is not a hobby anymore but nearly a job. Thanks for your contribution to this simulation.

El-Guapo Posted December 9, 2018 Posted December 9, 2018 The French had some pretty grungy looking ones since their P47s were second hands from the US. Picture for inspiration. :)
PatCartier Posted December 9, 2018 Posted December 9, 2018 I think this on is ready for the cemetary, sort of pieces stock.
PatCartier Posted December 9, 2018 Posted December 9, 2018 http://www.axis-and-allies-paintworks.com/download.php?view.1004 ^^
El-Guapo Posted December 9, 2018 Posted December 9, 2018 When I try to download it, after the 'behavior warning', a page opens filled with characters. Do I need to be registered?
PatCartier Posted December 9, 2018 Posted December 9, 2018 No you don't have to be registred. It's strange, plz retry, may be with another ftp.
El-Guapo Posted December 9, 2018 Posted December 9, 2018 (edited) Worked with Chrome instead of Explorer. Bummer, It's a .rar file. and I don't want to download the reader for trialpay. Thank you still Edited December 9, 2018 by El-Guapo
PatCartier Posted December 9, 2018 Posted December 9, 2018 I'm not sure to understand because my english is bad but you don't have to pay to unzip rar.files.
Hoss Posted December 9, 2018 Posted December 9, 2018 winrar has a free version you can get it here on the free ninite site. https://ninite.com/ Cheers Hoss
PatCartier Posted December 9, 2018 Posted December 9, 2018 (edited) Airborn ! 7 skins of P47D's of G.C. 2/5 La Fayette, based at Luxeuil, N-E of France in 1945. #32 was based at Ambérieu, France 1944. The skins are as much as I could "historically accurate" but I allowed myself to pay tribute to Christian-Jacques Ehrengardt aka CJE, founder of the revue Aérojournal and a major contributor to the Aviation Passion forum of the Check Six website. His name is on one of the planes. EDIT : I rushed ... there is a bug in the roundel of the right wing. I will update the pack in few days. Edited December 10, 2018 by PatCartier 3 3

El-Guapo Posted December 10, 2018 Posted December 10, 2018 Hoss, thank you indeed! Pat, you are my new best friend. Joyeux Noel a moi! Did you forgot the yellow stripes on #32 or did you elected to represent an another time period? 1
PatCartier Posted December 10, 2018 Posted December 10, 2018 (edited) ^^ yes there are two livreries for this plane. The yellow stripes were painted when GC2/5 was flying over Italy and were removed after that. I made this skin with a profile and I didn't know this photo: #32 is bigger than I thought and the weathering is stronger than I made... Maybe I will do a 2nd version. ++ Edited December 10, 2018 by PatCartier 1
El-Guapo Posted December 10, 2018 Posted December 10, 2018 I'm glad I learned where these damn stripes came from. I might have an another angle of #32 as I had to skin it for an another game. You'll have to give me till next Sunday when I go home. Keep up being awesome.
=FEW=ayamoth89 Posted December 10, 2018 Posted December 10, 2018 (edited) http://www.hyperscale.com/2010/galleries/p47dbm_1.htm Some p-47 fought Italian Co-Belligerent Air Force (ICBAF) after italy's defeat. Can anyone do a pair of those skins maybe?( Edited December 10, 2018 by =FEW=ayamoth89
PatCartier Posted December 10, 2018 Posted December 10, 2018 (edited) Yes, I'll make some. I already intended to do so. May be you've got some photos or profiles to show us ? Edited December 10, 2018 by PatCartier
IIN8II Posted December 10, 2018 Posted December 10, 2018 Maddie Mae, WIP update: Making progress.... still a ways to go. 3 1
Hoss Posted December 10, 2018 Posted December 10, 2018 I have a skin that has a red spinner, but when the engine starts it turns to grey/metal, does anyone know where the I guess the spinning spinner is located? Cheers Hoss
Rjel Posted December 11, 2018 Posted December 11, 2018 I think I've done as much with this as I can. I'm sure some will see it as too unweathered looking but from the only picture I've seen of this airplane, it looked rather clean. Honestly, I prefer my NMF planes to look shiny anyway. As always, any constructive criticism or advise is welcomed. In a previous post in this thread I mentioned the background of this fighter such as it is. https://www.mediafire.com/file/5538ch44m3sjed5/P-47D-28_4k_V1_120918a_Final.7z/file 4

Hoss Posted December 11, 2018 Posted December 11, 2018 Thanks Legioneod, that will probably do the trick Hoss

PatCartier Posted December 11, 2018 Posted December 11, 2018 Hi, I have not done any research on my side yet. I want to finish other skins before starting these. The model that you post sports a livery after the war. I would rather paint a plane that served during the war. ++

SCG_ErwinP Posted December 12, 2018 Posted December 12, 2018 Hi all! Does anyone have the .PSD file with Brazilian template for editing? Thank you and have a nice day!
