Hit by invisible planes in MP (server WOL)

Hi, i just joined WOL server; wanted to test the Spit IX and got shot down twice by invisible planes. The guys told me they were flying 109G14.

I had something similar where my game but watching your track I think it was something different to what happened to you. Sorry to not be more help but I mentioned on chat that I had the same thing happen.

Yes, I had that bug long ago but didn't appeard anymore.

When you spawn in, you have to check if other planes spawned in as well. Then such things won't happen, at least not for me.

I know you were really butthurt after having gotten shot down twice, but it was fair - you were invisible too!!!

Thank you Scharfi, i will check that in the future. After that, i joined Berloga just to check and it was all OK; rejoined WOL and again nothing around (red or blue) maybe had something to do with that map.

 

If this happens to others, when i launched il2 i got a message saying i could not connect to master server, but let me joined MP anyway. I'll report this bug to devs.

Anyway, why would i be buttheart, i've been shot many times by planes not invisible and flown by better pilots than you, and shot them back; has happened, and will happen again; you need to relax. But thanks for the video and your time, i take that as a compliment ?

Ok, also confirmed yesterday on that server by user @Paulshow2 so it seems that it's a known bug; can any admin move this to bugs report? Or do i have to make a new post there?

There is a history of wonky things happening on WOL when it is at or near full population.  Just because you can have 80 players in a server does not mean you should have 80 players on a server.

This happened to me aswell about a year ago...not sure if its a bug or an exploit. Happened on the same WOL server.

If you have enabled Jumbo Frames but both network partners not support it you can bet your paycheck to be shot down from planes from nowhere. Even if both network partners support it be careful with Jumbo Frames if you play Games it can cause rubber banding.

 

I played a lot FPS-Shooter and I know how big Network Config influence your victory. Some will say in flight sims it doesn't matter but I say -> it always matter. ?
