Lumberneck Posted August 9, 2018 Posted August 9, 2018 I went to redeem my steam key on steam. Steam said the key was invalid, and when I went to the website, it said the key was activated. I tried multiple times to redeem the item to no success. I have gone and made a support ticket twice, with no response. I have even requested a refund in the latest ticket. Are refunds possible? I would really like some help, cause I do not want this 50 dollars to go to waste. Please help.

If you purchased to from the website you may not be able to get a steam key, especially if it wasn't from a legitimate website. Purchasing it through steam is the only way to get a steam key as far a I know. After you purchase it through steam you can get everything else from the official website and it ill work through the main launcher. One thing you can do is go to downloads on the main website and see if you can download the game through there, you won't be able to play through steam but it's better than buying a whole nother copy. 1

IMHO the devs (1c/777) should not be responsible or have to deal with such purchases taking up their precious time. 1

You can launch it through steam but that's about it, everything else is through the standalone launcher including the updates. At least you haven't wasted any money and now you get to support the devs 100%? Whenever you want to buy any expansion just get it through the website and you'll be golden.
