ruby_monkey Posted August 2, 2018 Posted August 2, 2018 I'm'a hunt me some trains in that big ol' beauty.
Talon_ Posted August 2, 2018 Posted August 2, 2018 (edited) 56 minutes ago, =FB=VikS said: its gonna be optional modification. Plane looks amazing! Can we know any of the other modifications? The 9th Air Force used the British Gyro Gunsight in their P-47s like the Spit IX has, and also the American K-14. Love that shiny bird, hope it gets every possible modification because it will be very popular ? 18 minutes ago, =621=Samikatz said: I'm not very familiar with American planes; what's the DF loop and what can we use it for in the sim? It's a direction-finding radio which many planes already have as a mod in IL-2 Edited August 2, 2018 by Talon_ 2
LeLv30_Redwing- Posted August 2, 2018 Posted August 2, 2018 (edited) One of my favourite planes. Would you have any new information about "lobby with chat", what was mentioned in News 17.11.2017...which is quite a long time ago. Edited August 2, 2018 by LeLv30_Redwing
=FEW=Hauggy Posted August 2, 2018 Posted August 2, 2018 The plane I was anticipating the most ^^ Can't wait to use those eight 50.cal on some krauts ?

=621=Samikatz Posted August 2, 2018 Posted August 2, 2018 Thank you for all the responses! Very helpful
Pierre64 Posted August 2, 2018 Posted August 2, 2018 Maybe I am wrong, but the natural metal effect looks more realistic and natural (on these screenshots) than on the previous screenshots of unpainted P-39 and A-20 ? 1
=gRiJ=Roman- Posted August 2, 2018 Posted August 2, 2018 I don't think this crate can fly ... it looks so heavy!
BroGrimm1tkcamp Posted August 2, 2018 Posted August 2, 2018 One of My favorites! Looks great. I just finished a RC built from scratch 71" wingspan 6
Uufflakke Posted August 2, 2018 Posted August 2, 2018 Just realize how big and intimidating this monster is in comparison to other planes. 1

Wolfpack345 Posted August 2, 2018 Posted August 2, 2018 I am in LOVE! Can't wait to get my hands on this bird ?
catchthefoxes Posted August 2, 2018 Posted August 2, 2018 (edited) I can't wait to fly that!!!! I also realized that there are no bomb pylons. is this because there is no ordinance or will they be there regardless if you carry bombs or not? not complaining, either way, THIS IS A GREAT DD AND IM HYPED AF!!! Edited August 2, 2018 by catchthefoxes

I can't answer your question but I sincerely hope they are present on the standard aircraft without bombs. The Fw 190 A-8 has a reversed ETC 501 logic. Hopefully it's not going to be the same with the Jug. Edited August 2, 2018 by =27=Davesteu

ST_ami7b5 Posted August 2, 2018 Posted August 2, 2018 Maybe the only WWII plane I don't like. Sry guys
ZachariasX Posted August 2, 2018 Posted August 2, 2018 12 minutes ago, ST_ami7b5 said: Maybe the only WWII plane I don't like. Sry guys Everything (besides prop pitch) is manual in this crate. Like WWI crates. You‘ll love it!

GrinderX9 Posted August 2, 2018 Posted August 2, 2018 Realy Nice . But for me, the ME 262 is the hole reason I begun playing IL2 again ( And Flying Circus), cant wait until you teas us whit some pictures whit that beauty.
kestrel79 Posted August 2, 2018 Posted August 2, 2018 Love the P-47. My favorite airplane ever. And she looks the best I've ever seen in a sim well done! Can't wait to fly. 1

senseispcc Posted August 2, 2018 Posted August 2, 2018 Nice, ruged plane to fly this P4-d-40. I hope to get it in Septembre. In a ground cover mission today when I had a nasty surprise today when my 2 wingmans just after taking off did land at the airfield they just left and I was alone to finish the mission...

I think the mixture is auto is it not? 24 minutes ago, ST_ami7b5 said: No way, Zach She's UGLY. How...how can you gaze upon the botticellian curves of the P-47 and not feel a stirring in your soul? The P-47 is a fighter as imagined by renaissance painters. Keep your sharp lines and skinny tails. Give me gigantic radials, chunky fuselages and huge proportions or give me death! 1 1 3
Rjel Posted August 2, 2018 Posted August 2, 2018 (edited) 4 hours ago, =FB=VikS said: its gonna be optional modification. Good to know. Will there be an optional dorsal fin available too? Fingers crossed for that. I think if you really look at the P-47, it is a very sleek airframe. It's huge but its lines flow nicely together. If you look at it from a headon view, it is every bit as aerodynamic as is the Fw-190. IMHO. I had a chance to stand close enough to one to touch it. I was stunned how big it is. Pictures just don't do it justice in that regard. That 19 and 20 somethings were able to handle that monster must say something for the P-47's flying attributes. I'd give anything to just sit in the cockpit of a P-47 or P-51. Edited August 2, 2018 by Rjel Grammer. And I wish my grammer would stay out of my posts!
TWC_Ace Posted August 2, 2018 Posted August 2, 2018 (edited) Oh my...P47...aaarghhh What a beauty! Edited August 2, 2018 by blackram
Beazil Posted August 2, 2018 Posted August 2, 2018 Nice pics of that Jug. I'm not sure what to do first, fly one or try to set one on fire.... Decisions decisions... 1
BMA_FlyingShark Posted August 2, 2018 Posted August 2, 2018 The plane looks stunning. Keep up the good work and enjoy your vacation. Have a nice day.
Drum_Tastic Posted August 2, 2018 Posted August 2, 2018 Yeah she looks great. I used to enjoy knocking 'em down in the original IL2 in my Ki-84.
