Creating a simple Quick Mission for a given date ?

Sometime ago ( long ago, because searching the forum didn't bring it.... ) someone posted a very straightforward way of using the Mission Editor to create a Quick Mission that could be set for a given Map, Season/date/time, Weather conditions....

I used that to make some tests back then, but I completely forgot the process, or maybe it's even outdated and there are new / easier ways to get it fast and effective, so, any suggestions ?

I confess that right now I'm mainly interested in stuff most of you couldn't certainly care less about - the excellent precision of the Moon Ephemeris in IL-2..., and playing with crosswinds...

I'm not sure of the exact post that your refer to but you could try steps 1, 2, 4, and 5 of  "Create a Singleplayer Mission" on pg. 33 of the IL-2 Sturmovik Mission Editor and Multiplayer Server Manual.

Or perhaps you are thinking of creating a mission in the Quick Mission Builder and then opening that mission in the editor to tweak the time, weather, etc. For that process, see "Edit the Mission That You Just Played" on pg. 48 of the editor manual.

There are also other resources listed here.

To add to @JimTM's post....

You can use my coop dogfight group and place it in any map/mission as you see fit (see link below). You can fly alone with three AI buddies (fighting four enemy AI planes), or up to eight people (four players on each team).

I did my best to label each MCU for a newbie mission editor, and it may be easier to start with "something" than a blank slate. In either case, you will probably need the Mission Editor Manual, and a bit of time to get over the learning curve of the ME. If you have questions, post them here and we'll be happy to help.
