4K Skin Request

Hi all,

I was visiting Duxford this w/end when I spotted this picture of Raal's 109G. I haven't come across this skin in the forums so far and was wondering if one of you talented skinners might have a bash at it for me.

patience is a virtue and nowadays getting lost - especially on forums where anonymity makes people even more demanding.

 

Those talented mates we have here do a great job in sharing their most beautiful skins - they do it for free and with passion in

their spare time bearing their own costs.

 

Perhaps you should relax a little bit. We on the northern hemisphere are in summertime, we enjoy free time outside, having a

barbecue with friends, support our nations in the Football Word Cup in Russia. Ever thought the skinner fraction might also

want to enjoy life outside their hobby room? Enjoy other estival things?

 

I'm sure my friend, sooner or later someone of those skilled skinners will reply to your request.

Sorry for my seeming impatient , I am not trying to hurry anyone nor am I asking anyone to put my request before anything RL or otherwise ! I too live in the northern hemisphere ( quite a way more northern than you good self ? ) UK, London. I just thought someone might reply if they were interested in the undertaking. Anyways sorry for any confusion in regard to patience or lack thereof.

 

Regarding enjoying real life, I generally try my hardest, however having just been made redundant at age 63 with no prospect of a job in the near future. I find enjoying real life a tad difficult atm, as I'm sure you might imagine. still chin up and all that, eh what!

Sorry to hear this, mate, but I can understand you more than you think. I'm in a similar situation, age 54 though.

And you're right it's difficult in such a situation, but still - try to enjoy every day in Blighty - we never know what's going to

be next.

didn't strike me as being impatient at all! 

 

Give us a week and i'll have something for you. If anyone else comes up with the goods in the meantime, you'll have a choice. Ill link it up when it done and PM you. 

 

ER But........Black 1? 109G6? ~Only had a quick looksee but wasn't that an F4? The painting is certainly not based on a G6. 

 

Rall is more commonly associated with Black 13 on the early Gs and the double chevron on the later Gs isn't he?

 

Let me know what you want though...

I know that feeling, I'm in my 60's as well, and no one feels like giving people my age a shot at another job.

Closest thing. Id tried to find the link, thanks Luger. Its a 2K skin not a 4K and it wont fit the G6 but its also Gustav's so its bloody good and well worth having. 

 

@fubar_2_niner given the aircraft in your original post is not a G6 are you still wanting Rall's G6 doing (especially given its not exactly the most interesting looking 109 camo)?

I spent much of yesterday evening and this morning checking out your info. Hats off mate you sure know your stuff 

In regard to black one the only I can find is this crashed F4 as you can see tho it is II/JG52

 

Black 13 and or the Double Chevron would be great when and if you can spare the time.

 

Interestingly there seem to be many confusions it seems regarding Raal's birds, as can be seen in the second image. As the script suggests this is Raal's bird, 8/JG52 , however notice the nose art is not the winged sword emblem we all know so well ??

Quick update, just found this;

@fubar_2_niner  The winged sword is the JG52 emblem, things like the cross or the cat or the boar are the staffel emblems. What is used and when is stafflel specific. For instance 4/JG52 pretty much did away with their red cat from the G2/4 onward, only using the winged sword whereas 8/JG52 seemed much more determined to keep their identity. 

 

Ill have a look at some g6s to see whats what. gimme a few days. Seems by the time Rall is in a G6 he's also in the Stab (command) of III Gruppe so unlikely there will be any nice emblems - certainly from what ive seem in the limited models and profiles (cant find any actual photos). It'll be a pretty dull looking bird TBH (which is kind of a very appealing thing about Major Rall, certainly not a flash harry). The unusual  spinner spiral may prove interesting given the way that the game uses slow and fast maps for these. 

 

Black 13 seems to be a G2 and is probably one of the more interesting Rall aircraft. In this case I know Rafiger was reworking the G4 template (and I assume the G2) but don't know there progress is up to. I know Rafi had some health matters to recover from. Until such time that a template equal to RafiGer's G6 and G14 is about I'm not sure ill commit to that one (especially given the 2K work done by Gustav which he may wish to upscale).
